The Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control (WICBC) says it plans to support the re-election of Dave Cameron as president of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) when the Annual General Meeting is held on March 7.
Julian Charles, a director of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control and chairman of the WICB Cricket Committee, says Cameron has made progress in seeking to professionalise cricket in the region.

“As far as I’m concerned, as far as I know, the Windward Islands—as we stand now—will be supporting Dave Cameron,” said Charles, during a radio interview in Castries.
“Not only that, we are satisfied with the moves that Mr. Cameron has made, in terms of, especially in assisting with the professionalisation of the game. I think this is a major, major development in West Indies cricket.”
Former West Indies fast bowler, Joel Garner plans to challenge Cameron for the post and has already received the backing of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA).

This is absolutely true, no matter his shortcomings. No one has made such a positive impact on the game in region. The players should have stated their concerns, and ask for these concerns to be dealt with when they return from India....simple!!!

I disagreed with the windwards vote against Hunte and I disagree with their decision now.

He doesn't represent the cricketing fraternity in the Windward islands. This guy's are not accountable to the public and that's why West indies cricket is in this mess.

This is a no brainer!

If Garner wins, Julian Charles and Pybus is gone; if Cameron stays, he and Pybus will have another stab at the chairmanship and directorship of cricket respectively.

In addition, if Cameron stays, he will have to cleanup the mess he and Bravo caused... and that's not easy to do because India will eff us up some more and in the process It will haunt WI cricket for years to come.

I doh care who gets in life will go on as usual as far as I am concern.

Disappointed but not surprised with Windwards and Leewards. Just collect a pay check, that is all they in it for.

Professionalizing the sport is a good idea but the way it was achieved by the Cameron Administration was ruthless as it was deceitful. That led to a 42 million dollar albatoss around the West Indies Cricket. I see people lose their jobs everyday for much less so who is Cameron.
