I have been following the arguments being put forward in the Caribbean concerning the upcoming board elections, and it certainly seems more like a political campaign than what used to be a simple vote to pick the next president of the WICB.

I can't remember ever getting involved publicly supporting anyone for the post before and I am not doing so now. But since two people have chosen to publish my name in their articles on the matter, I would like to put a few facts in the public domain for those who probably are unaware of them.

One person accused me of defending the players' actions in the debacle that took place in India and of being dishonest in that defence. I have written two articles on that abandonment, both of which were not attacked or criticised by the WICB, because they were factual. I am certain if they had not been, the opportunity would not have been lost in tearing them apart. I know for a fact that the first article, written while I was still in India, was sent to the directors, who were told to come to the next meeting with comments. But no comment was made publicly because, as I said earlier, it was factual.

You know I remembered long ago that as a consultant the fastest way to get thrown out of an engagement is to walk into to an organization and tell them "The culture needs to change". What the heck is that. What exactly does he think needs to change.

Is Holding applying for a job as a consultant of the WICB? And don't you think it also needs to change? Holding has said that both the Patterson and Wilkins reports have outlined the changes that are needed in terms of governance, so he doesn't need to go into that. Anyone who wants to know exactly what he thinks needs to be changed only need to read those reports....

I would bet 99% of the people who pushing Patterson report as a solution to WI cricket ills has never read it. or else thay would never be pushing for that thing from a politician who orchestrated the demise of an island paradise in the middle of bubble.

And no I am not saying that changes does not need to be made.

The key issue to me is that the Task Force put blame on WICB, WIPA and the players.

Result?

1. Players reprimanded
2. WIPA Head and executive reelected unopposed (they should have resigned)
3. WICB President and CEO are still in their jobs and the President may be reelected.

If allyuh don't see anything wrong with this picture, then something is wrong with your moral compass.

Great observation... too bad that blank statements like this are a dime a dozen... as a matter of fact this article was published on February 10, 2015. Dave Cameron almost said the same EXACT words on February 9th during his interview on KLAS. (See the last minutes of Part 2 (might be part 3) of the sound cloud file KLAS posted)

The solution is easy too... Implementing it past the directors is the hard work that no one seem to be man enough to do and keep their job...

Hunter got ousted because he was pushing more than anyone to change the governance structure...

They bawling abt Pollard and Bravo... if it was just up to some board members we the IND 15 would have been watching me and CMG styling at the wc... or something like that...

The people in the administration of Cricket are so blinded with power , they cannot see .

Their power & preservation of that power are the only things that they can see ,& that matters to them more than anything regarding Cricket .

Let me say this the WICB may claim it is a private Entity , but it aint own no Cricket Grounds . So it is in my opinion debatable ; regarding its claim that it is a Private Entity .

Now if it had Cricket Grounds in the various Countries in the Region and used them for Matches , then it would be definitely a Private Entity .
