HEADLINE: Holder denies rift in West Indies ranks

Jason Holder, the West Indies captain, dismissed talk of a rift in the ranks on Sunday (March 15) as he led his side to a likely World Cup quarterfinal against New Zealand.

Holder, a surprise choice to lead West Indies into the World Cup, appeared to be involved in an on-field argument with Darren Sammy, the former captain, during their must-win final Pool B match against the United Arab Emirates in Napier.

storm in a teacup ... it is normal for bowlers to have disagreements with their captains, especially a new captain who is trying to assert himself

it augers well for the future.

Sammy knows that WI are desperately looking at getting rid of Ramdin . With CHG probably retiring after the WC all he has to do is to get rid of Holder and unretire from test cricket to regain cappoship for all formats again.

The man has no moral scruples whatsoever.

Sammy should not question his captain's decision in full glare of the public period.
