KINGSTON, Jamaica (CMC) — Re-elected President of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Dave Cameron says the West Indies' upcoming Test series against England and Australia in the Caribbean will be played on better pitches.

The matches, to be played in Antigua, Grenada, Barbados, Dominica and Jamaica, will bowl off in less than a month, starting with the Windies three-match series against England.

"We (WICB) are promising better-looking pitches for the next five games," said Cameron.

"Our regional curator, Ken Crafton, has been visiting some venues and pitches, which has been a point of constant discussion around the region.

Makes no sense at all!!! The current FC competition should be played on better pitches, then we will start producing better cricketers. It's good that test matches have proper pitches but the problem will be that when our cricketers finally get a good pitch they will be so accustomed to crap that they will find it hard to adjust. For example put Bishoo on a good pitch and see how much wickets he will get. Or put Kraigg on a pitch with bounce and see how comfortable he will be.
