West Indies mystrey spinner Sunil Narine's bowling action has been cleared by the BCCI after he underwent a biomechanical assessment at the ICC-accredited SRMC centre, Chennai. Narine will now be able to bowl for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2015.
KKR, the defending champions had earlier threatened to pull out of the eighth editio of the IPL if Narine was not allowed to play.

His action was really never suspect. It is just the powers that be want to psycho analyze the best spinners outside their 3 countries.
As for Sunil not playing in the world cup I still think it was in support of his fellow countrymen.
That takes a lot of ba*ls to do.
Kudos to him and best of everything to him and his family.

It is surprising that some people are of the opinion that Narine did not have an illegal action on some of his deliveries. Before Narine played F/C cricket some officials in Trinidad were concern about his action.

Sunil looks different so many people suspect.....but the naked eye from the boundary is not the same as ICC testing centres.

Understand thatHafeez and ajmal both FAILEd because they flex the elbow to bowl the doosra. Sunil spins with the fingers and does not bowl the doosra

I've been telling some skunts on this MB that Sunil does not have to flex his elbow to bowl the doosra,he has magic fingers,those fingers do the doosra for him,some people even described it as a leg cutter.

I agree his action was never that bad. I always thought, well so what if there's a little flex, as long as it within 15 degrees. Our traditionalist are suspicious w any degree of flex. I just knew Sunil was not anywhere close to Ajmal and these other fellows. Does he. Hu k a few? Sure, but who doesn't. For the most part he always seemed to be able to bowl.

Who cares? Send up a flare when he turns out for a WI and then I'll care...

I tend to agree. This is great for Narine, and great for his IPL team, but in the context of Windies cricket, it's too late to help us in the World Cup, and doesn't do much for the current team.

Hopefully one day he'll be willing and available to help the side out.
