Mystery spinner Sunil Narine has been selected on the West Indies team for the limited overs segment of their upcoming tour to Sri Lanka.

This is welcome news for the West Indies, as Narine last represented the region back at the World T20 in Bangladesh last year. He was then no-balled for an alleged illegal bowling action during the Champions Trophy in India and since then has been out of action at the international level while working on fine tuning his action.

During the period of exile from international cricket, the Queen’s Park player has been actively involved in ODI cricket for the Red Force and T20 cricket for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Also making a return to the West Indies ODI outfit is fast bowler Ravi Rampaul, who has been putting in the hard work at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Trinidad with the T&T Red Force team.

Lloyd still cannot make amends- the inclusion of these two do not take away from the fact that he has defied the entire cricketing world and all WI fans by excluding Bravo and Polly.

Those two are probably the first two names when selecting a WI ODI team on merit.

Bravo aborted the Indian tour bacause of the pay structure, the only two players that continue to speak of the pay structure are Bravo and Simmons.
Lets see if any of the two, will be selected for the t20

I can, it is you who don't understand, Bravo aborted the ODI tour to India, Phil wanted to get everyone back.

I know full well that nothinghas change since the Indian aborted tour, so why select him for any format, seeing the contract is not what he would like it to be.

Coach Simmons, meanwhile, confirmed that opener Chris Gayle would be available for all formats once he recovered from back surgery.

Russell has knee problem, is available for ODI and T20.

If you aborted an ODI tour because of the pay structure and then said nothing has changed when asked about playing test, why bother to go further.

I am going to give you the benefit of doubt and assume your question above and others are sincere and you not just making an ass of yourself.

The pay structure for ODI and T-20 was never an issue in the conflict that led to the aborted Indian tour. It was only for Test and both side acknowledged it.

Again, you asked why walk out during the ODI- that doesn't mean the ODI pay structure was conflicted, it was the tour payment for the test series that was in question.

Bravo, Polly and others have a right to decide on fair wages- the WICB find money to pay their CEO and President based on corporate wage structure for executives- they together with others do not deserve the salaries they are taking for themselves, this is the reason why they do not want to pay Bravo and Co.

I don't think you are getting the point. Why should players be allowed to choose what format they are available for not? You make yourself available for West Indies and it is then the prerogative of the selectors to decide which format they think you are best suited for....

A player has the right to retire from a format, Bravo's and Simmons issue, is the new MOU/ CBA that was signed by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and West Indies Players Association (WIPA).

That MOU/CBA is not only for test as some would want us to believe

Discarding players who on any argument should be in contention for the ODI and T20 side . How long would the vengeance of the WICB be allowed to cloud proper management . Today the information came that Clive Lloyd and Phil Simmonds wanted Polly and Bravo back in the team but were out voted by Courtney Brown , Courtney Walsh and another selector . With the WICB town hall meeting carded for these shore shortly , there is bound to be a hostile environment when that occurs.
