ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board reinstated Phil Simmons today to his duties as Head Coach of the West Indies Senior Men’s Team.
Simmons was suspended from his duties as Head Coach after inappropriately commenting on and disclosing the specific voting of individual selectors of the WICB’s Selection Panel when selecting the West Indies Men’s Senior Squad to tour Sri Lanka in October and November 2015.
Simmons’ reinstatement was conditioned upon:
● issuance to him of a letter of reprimand for his inappropriate public comments; and
● Simmons making a public apology to the WICB and persons whom he may have offended (Details for the download of the audio from Simmons’ public apology are below).
Going forward, and as a separate matter, the WICB will immediately investigate the allegations made by Simmons, and take the necessary and appropriate action following this investigation.

KB
Johnson-----------Chandrika (default)
Lil Bravo
Samuels
Blackwood
Pollard------------Deonarine
Ramdin (wk)----Dowrich
Holder (capt)
Roach
Taylor-------Rampaul
Bishoo------Waricann
Drop Hope, Gabriel, Carlos
Replace with Johnson, Deonarine and Rampaul
Chandrika only qualifies as he didnt play a game in SL
And scored a century in domestic
He shouldnt play in Aus either
KB & Johnson -- give them a 3 Test run, in possibly the toughest conditions and opponents in World Cricket!

I think that Carlos may be a better choice than either rampaul or roach who are both way past their best.

These are really not very serious people , First you reprimand Simmons , then you state that you are going to investigate the allegations that Simmons made .
Once again Stupidity reigns Supreme in the WICBC . But then this is nothing New . They keep lurching from one Stupidity ; to another Stupidity . When the Hell will this all end ???
To state that the WICBC is the Worst International Cricket Board in the World is actually an understatement .
How can a Person be disciplined , and then You are going to investigate the allegations that he has cited ???
There is a disconnect somewhere .

Would you prefer if there was no investigations?

The point I am making is that Simmons
outburst was due to his allegations , that they are now stating they are going to investigate . I therefore stand by what I stated .
I would like to hear your take on the fact that Simmons was suspended because of what he did , now he is going to get a letter reprimanding him , I am not a Lawyer , but that seems to me that Simmons is being punished twice for the same offense ,
What say You ???

A letter informing him of his undesirable action is a requirement pursuant to modern employment law, not necessarily a punishment.
Again I ask the question...Do you prefer if no investigation was conducted?

So then he is not be punished twice for the same Offense ??
Do You accept my perspective that they wanted him , more that He wanted them ; when consideration is given to the fact that he had a Job where in essence He was his own Boss .
I do not think that he played his
cards properly , as I have stated , he could have organized himself in a manner where if he could not get what
he wanted ,in his Contract he could have gotten back his Job in Ireland .
It is not that Simmons did not know who he was dealing with ; that is what I find disappointing .It aint like he is some 30 year old Coach looking for his first Coaching Job .
