Head coach of the Leeward Islands Hurricanes Reginald Benjamin has identified a lack of development as a major problem affecting cricket within the sub-region.
Speaking after his team’s innings and 35 runs defeat at the hands of Guyana Jaguars last week, Benjamin said more work is needed at the grassroots level in the various territories if better players are to be available to the Leeward Islands.

Interesting. Now whose responsibility it is for development at the grass root level. If we look at cricket in terms of professional and amateur who would be responsible for amateur development. Hmmm!!!
