ROSEAU, Dominica (CMC) – Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell on Thursday slammed what he called an “amazing level of disrespect” on the part of West Indies Cricket Board president Dave Cameron, as pressure continued to mount on the beleaguered Board to meet urgently with Caricom leaders over the Governance Review Panel report.

Mitchell, the chairman of Caricom’s Cricket Governance Committee, stopped short of issuing an ultimatum to the WICB but urged Cameron to rethink his decision not to accommodate a meeting with regional Heads before the Board of Directors meeting on December 12 in St Lucia.

Cameron has been adamant about the WICB’s inability to accommodate the Caribbean leaders prior to the already scheduled meeting and reiterated this position in written communication to Caricom Secretary-General Irwin LaRocque on Tuesday.

“It is quite amazing the level of disrespect. The level of lack of understanding of the importance of this is quite frightening and I don’t think I should hold back any words,” Mitchell said bluntly, as he spoke on the last day of the OECS Summit here.

What are you going to do if the disrespect continue ?

Give Mitchel/CARICOM enough time and watch them do the same, behave the same, react the same as WICB.

Dr. Mitchell should be busy finalizing plans for hurricane damage recovery in the WI, instead he is worrying about cricket. Grenada have cricket team? Too much time on his hands, far too much. Grenadians need to fire his ass. Poor lad suffering from BTTH(ball to the head), some never recover.

What is unreasonable about Cameron's request? Wouldn't it be better for him to go into that meeting with his board's position? This is just attention garnering

Come on. It is head of a country speaking and it has to be respected. You can meet them, have a dialogue and ask for time to give response.

Sitting in your high horse and giving media responses and stating stating that you cannot commit a date for another 2 mints for an urgent call is just arrogant and irresponsible.

But with Cameron this is standard else the Indian episode would have been avoided and most of the problems because of that. Even if his intent is good his approach is highly arrogant and that dose t work well at leadership positions

Let me say this , for years now the WICBC has engaged in shameful games of
Charades . This aint a figment of my imagination , this is a fact .

History informs us that the WICBC commissioned the Lucky Report ; the Patterson Report ; the Wilkin Report ;
and now a Report commissioned by both the Regional Governments & the WICBC .

So for Cameron to be calling for time
is the Biggest Joke of the year ; from the Biggest Joker in International Cricket .

Obviously the Regional Governments have now realized that Cameron is as
usual stalling for time , with the hope & expectation that this will all go away , I sincerely hope that the
Regional Governments Stick to their Guns .

Cricket in the Region is bigger & more important that Cameron et al . This aint about Politicians trying to
run Cricket in the Region , it is about having a Regional Cricket Board
that has Foresight & Vision , Good Governance ; the ability to have harmonious Relationships with its Employees , the ability to have good
Business Acumen .

The Saga in India recently proved
beyond the shadow of any doubt that Cameron et al , aint have that ability . Worse yet they made absolutely no attempt to not only salvage the Tour , but RECKLESSLY abandoned the Tour , leaving their Host with a mountain of Debt .

It is high time the Regional Governments put an end to this Charade , and the sooner this is done the better it will be for Cricket in the Region .

There are many in the Region who seem reluctant to state that while Cricket
in Bangladesh has improved in all formats of the game , in the longer versions of the game WE are Bottom Dwellers .

Rally round the flag time, I guess we like it so!!

You perhaps are unaware of the fact
that the Regional Governments spent
MILLIONS of TaxPayers money to build
new Stadia ; Renovate existing Stadia ; and providing first class Grounds to facilitate the WICBC hosting the 2007
Cricket World Cup .

You also failed to understand that the Regional Governments asked the WICBC to implement the salient changes recommended by the Patterson
Report . The fact is that Cameron & the Board not only bluntly refused to
do that , they instead commissioned
another Report , called the Wilkin
Report , which Cameron et al swiftly also rejected .

Now when I consider the above which are facts not fiction , my take is
that P.M. Mitchell was rather kind in
stating that Cameron was disrespectful . Frankly , in my opinion the WICBC has become a Rogue
Cricket Board , and apparently has the blessings of the ICC , to be both Arrogant & condescending .

Now you can state whatever you want , but nothing that I have stated above
can in anyway be construed as being fiction . My position is that both the ICC & the WICBC need to be taken to Court .

One of the stipulation that must be implemented , when the dust gets settled , is that the Entity that is going to replace the WICBC , has its money in a Regional Bank . This issue
must not be subjected to any negotiations .

All I want the Supporters of the
Worst International Cricket Board in the World; is to state whether or not
the Regional Governments did not play
a key role in the WICBC hosting the
2007 Cricket World Cup , by taking
Taxpayers money , building New Stadia ,
refurbishing existing Stadia and Grounds ??

In my opinion Cameron & Co are really ungrateful People , and that is putting it very mildly . Cameron & Co showed no respect to the Regional Governments when they asked the Board to implement the changes of the Structure recommended by the Patterson Report ???

Cameron & Co. bluntly refused to do that , and to display their arrogance
& disdain of the Regional Governments
they then commissioned another Report ,called the Wilkin Report , which they also Rjected .

The fact that P.M.Mitchell called Cameron disrespectful , was kind , Cameron deserves to be called worst than that , after the expenditure of
Taxpayers money to help the WICBC host the 2007 World Cup .

This Region , in Cricket has been & is cursed by having the most Arrogant ; ; Incompetent People in the governance
of Cricket in the Region . Worse yet
is the fact that all of them lack Foresight & Vision ; Business Acumen ;and a total inability to have harmonious relations with its Employees .

If the WICBC was operating in the Real World , it would have been out of Business years ago . In the Real
World , it would have had to face stiff competition , in the Region it has none . The same thing applies to the International Cricket Cabal , if it had to compete with a rival Entity
years ago it would have made the WICBC shape up years ago .

But the ICC really does not give a Blasted Damn regarding the fact that the WICBC has become a Rogue International Cricket Board .

India ; Australia ; and England cooked up a Scheme that the 3 of them
would get the Lions shares of the money doled out to the Member Boards ; and the other 7 Lemmings went along
with this Scheme . This is precisely why I continuously state ,
that the acronym ICC actually means
the International Cricket Cabal .
