St. John’s, ANTIGUA – The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is calling on the region’s top players to be available for the regional tournaments to ensure that they remain eligible for selection for international competition.
With the WICB Professional Cricket League (PCL) now on a break and with the 3rd NAGICO Super50, schedule to bowl off on Thursday, January 7, “there is an opportunity to have the best players compete for regional supremacy in the upcoming events,” noted Chief Executive Officer, Michael Muirhead.

Tell us how u plan to attract the best players you chased into retirement.
How do you plan to get those players back Mr. CEO, those are the players cricket lovers worldwide want to see from this region.
Why do you think their own people will not want to see them on cheer them on.
Tell us what your plan is to get the talent back in the game

They're not referring to those "best" players.
The WICBC is referring to the Barbados team and sundry others

West Indian players should not be denied the chance to earn on the open market.
If the WICB is really interested in being relevant on the International scene then they must change their archaic law or stipulation that the players must play locally.
Haven't they heard of TV, VIDEO or internet?
Cameron can fly all over the place to rub shoulders with the other ICC big wigs but he cannot send subordinates like football clubs do to look at potential players.
Our players are correct in snubbing the WICB. Lloyd himself opened and led the way so why try to close the door now?
Money is to be made because Cameron and co have not stopped signing lucrative sponsorship deals .

Holy Shite...like the ones getting drubbed by any XI random Australians who happen to play them in a cricket match?
I heard thats how they have to be selling tickets for the Boxing Day Test now btw...XI lucky fans get a chance to beat the WI in a test match, the ACB not even bothering to select a team..it's like reality TV meets test cricket.
There'll be a " confessional" and everything, where the "players" get to tell how they felt as they were smashing Taylor and Roach to all parts, should be good stuff..and the only way to generate interest in the actual game

Don't be so harsh.
They are the best of what has been made available. And there is some real talent amongst them.
As bleak as it looks...I still believe they can perform with credit.

What kind of message are Holder and Co sending, when they sign up for the Pakistan T20 league, instead of making themselves available for the PCL?
