International sports may have witnessed teams suffering incredible highs and terrible lows, but the story that has been of West Indies would be among the most intriguing. From raiding the best of opponents in cricket to touching lowest of lows that cannot even be fathomed (think of the latest Chris Gayle episode), Caribbean cricket has come down crashing. Worse, no one in the world has bothered to even lend them a helping hand. Amid all the drama that has been taking place, it was a massive relief for those who care about the West Indies cricket that their series in Australia was over.

The fact that a few of the Caribbean players will now be returning home is, once again, heartening news. After all, the Australian sojourn was turning nothing but a nightmare. In cricketing as well as non-cricketing terms, this tour of Australia would perhaps stand out among the worst they have had in their history.

This is another of those things I am concerned about WI cricket. While the whole world feels WI performance has been absurd, the administrators and team thinks they are improving.

This is not just this series but even in the series's of late when we could not even compete the team and administrators believe they are improving. I recall the "1st innings points" we got against India a few years back.

I just wish what they are saying is just for the sake of Public but internally understand that they were pathetic and need a long way to go.

Bravo was long gone from the test team-he was dropped in 2010, in fact- and Pollard has not played a single test during his career. Therefore there is no way Lloyd could have "shown them the door to work on their long-format skill and comeback"!

WE have heard a lot of talk about the
Region must get help . The International Cricket Cabal, aka the ICC cannot be ignorant of the WICBC's
Stewardship of Cricket in the Region .

Its transgressions are well known throughout the Cricket World , yet the ICC has allowed the ICC to become a
Rogue International Cricket Board .

Most Cricket Boards who are Members
of the ICC have a lot of Financial Sponsors , It is therefore fair to
ask the WICBC how many Sponsors it has ????

As I stated elsewhere in this Forum
an Australian Commentator stated on
Air that since the turn of the century , Our Team has won only 1
Match versus Australia .

In my opinion , the blame for this cannot be laid only at the feet of the Players . Yet those in the Governance of Cricket in the Region
rather than do the honourable thing and resign en masse , are fighting tooth & nail to not only remain in Office , but also to ensure that the
current Structure remains intact .

THESE are the people who proclaim
that they have the best Interest of Cricket at Heart . Nothing could be
further from the Truth .

WI was not even winning series with Lara, Gayle and Chanderpaul

The most one can say when some of the senior players were on the team the games were a bit more entertaining, but winning, no!
