The official launch of the ‘Legacy & 007 Promotions ‘Unity Cricket’ Event scheduled for January 30 at the Providence Stadium was officially launched yesterday at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Pavilion.
The event includes a fun park for kids on the Tarmac, five softball matches among the best softball cricketers in Guyana and climaxes with the feature game, a T20 affair under lights from 19:30hrs.
This contest will see some of the top T20 players in the world in action including the world’s number one batsman Chris Gayle who this week smashed the fastest ever T20 fifty from just 12 balls in the Big Bash in Australia.
Lucky fans will win fabulous giveaways from Digicel, one of the event sponsors. Fans in the stands will also get a chance to go home us$500 richer if they take one-hand catches.
