Head coach of the West Indies cricket team Phil Simmons says that all-rounder Keiron Pollard and spin bowler Sunil Narine are important to West Indies cricket and praised the duo after their heroics against South Africa in the opening match of the Ballr Tri-series at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence on Friday night.
Narine captured career best figures of 6/27 as South Africa was humbled for 188 runs. Pollard then played a very mature innings of 67 not out from 67 balls with six sixes and two fours, to take West Indies to a four-wicket victory.
Simmons speaking after the match said: “They are the two guys who took the game away from South Africa, and it showed that they're very important to our cricket.”

Wonder if the other nine are not important to WI team? Doesnt it take a team effort to win games?
How about saying congratulations to the team

Did you watch the game...bravo contributed a few runs but the rest very little indeed. Fletcher looked so bad you wonder how he could be selected,...what did he average in the vital 50 over tournament that disqualified Gayle, bravo and Russell.?
Simmonsonly making the obvious point that not picking the best team only cuts off our nose to spite our face.
But you big up the replacements if you wish.
