ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The selection panel of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) today named fast bowler Miguel Cummins as replacement for Jerome Taylor in the 13-member squad to face India in the upcoming first Test match against India.

Cummins, 25, has played 41 first-class matches, with 116 wickets (average 22.56). He was a member of the Test squad in Australia earlier this year.

The first Test is scheduled for the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua, and starts on Thursday, July 21. First ball daily is 10am (9am Jamaica Time)

Well, hopefully now the WI will play more wicket-taking bowlers. Like stated before, Braithwaite is a good player, but he is more suited for limited over games or when Holder is unavailable for the Test team.

Any bets that Cummin will play before Gabriel?

WICB are such idiots.
They have a selection committee that picks a team to tour.
We get some of the fastest pitches on the planet and the kid does not get a pick. Comes now he is on the squad on the spinner friendly tracks .
So he fails to take wickets. Guess what his career done.
