HEADLINE: WICB headquarters set to move next year

The headquarters of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) will be relocated by early next year.

This is according to President Dave Cameron, who said plans are in the pipeline to move the St John’s offices to the Stanford Cricket Ground at Coolidge.

The move, he said, will come following the joint acquisition of the Grounds by the WICB and the Antigua & Barbuda government.

Cameron anticipates that by early 2017, the acquisition would have been complete, but hints that work could start at the facility long before then.

Way to go Dave.

What better way to celebrate your charges' 3 T20 trophies in a single year, but to move the WI headquarters to the birthplace of professional T20 cricket.

Just keep it going.

Cameron and the WICB would deem that a very flaccid suggestion!

The relevant question that must be asked is this :

WILL THIS IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCES OF

OUR PLAYERS IN THE LONGER VERSIONS

OF THE GAME .????

I REALLY DO NOT THINK SO ; THEREFORE

THIS IS SIMPLY AN EXERCISE IN

FUTILITY .

My perspective is that OUR PLAYERS
are not playing enough Cricket to
attain the necessary Skills to be fully competitive in those formats of
the game in the International Cricket
Arena .

Currently WE are at or very near the
bottom in International Cricket .In
my opinion to do what needs to be done requires Financial Sponsors .

However I see absolutely no signs that those in the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth realize this Fact .

In the shortest version of the game
our Players , Men ; Women & U-19 are
recognized as the Best in the World .
This fact presented a golden opportunity to seek Financial Sponsors to improve the standard of
our Players in the longer versions of the Game .

I see no indication that Cameron & Co
have come to this realization . This
obviously is testament to their perpetual lack of Foresight & Vision .
They prefer instead to Focus only on
ensuring that their 89 years old
archaic Structure remains intact ,so that they can continue being Emperors accountable to no One but themselves , with their many friends in the Media fawning all over them while refusing to tell them that they aint wearing Clothes .
