HEADLINE: WICB CUT TIES WITH HEAD COACH

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Effectively immediately, the WICB today announced it has separated from the Head Coach Phil Simmons. In a meeting of the Board of Directors, on Saturday, September 10, this decision was taken.
In recent times, based on the public pronouncements of the coach and the approach internally, we have identified differences in culture and strategic approach. The WICB would therefore like to thank the coach for his contribution and wishes him the best in his future endeavours.
The Senior Team is preparing for its upcoming assignments against Pakistan in the UAE. The Team will be headed by Manager Joel Garner, coaches Henderson Springer and Roddy Estwick.

It was suggested that former West Indies captain and current Kent coach Jimmy Adams was the replacement the WICB wanted, but sources close to Adams told ESPNcricinfo he was not interested.
As in, "bwahahahahahaha you think I'm crazy?"

Gibson ... Bowling coach turn Head Caoch
Simmons ... associates coach turn Test Head Coach
So whats wrong with a County coach turning Head Coach.

Because WI turning the head coach into foot coach...As soon as they hire them, they give them walking ticket.

Agree 100% and just maybe Kent is paying him much more $$$ with less stress and better structure and leadership!!!
