ICC introduces changes to Code of Conduct and DRS Umpire’s call - Cricket News New change to DRS Umpire's Call will come into effect from September 22.
The International Cricket Council has introduced changes to the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel and the DRS Umpire’s Call interpretation, effective today.

There has been no change to the list of offences in the Code of Conduct, or the current penalty regime of warnings/fines/suspensions applicable to each offence, but players who have breached the Code will now also accumulate Demerit Points, which can see repeat offenders suspended. Demerit Points will remain with a player for two years, and all players will start with a zero balance from 22 September to coincide with the introduction of these changes.

The new ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel can be read here, with the changes confined to Article 7 of the Code.

The new DRS playing conditions relating to the LBW ‘Umpire’s Call” will also come into effect on 22 September, with the first match to be played under these regulations the ODI between South Africa and Ireland in Benoni on Sunday.

For a Not Out decision to be overturned, more than half the ball now has to be impacting the pad within a zone bordered by the outside of off and leg stumps (formerly the centre of off and leg stumps), and the ball needs to be hitting the stumps within a zone bordered by the outside of off and leg stumps and the bottom of the bails (formerly the centre of off and leg stumps, and the bottom of the bails).

Ok like football with yellow cards allocations cool not bad.
They need to also make it mandatory that all nations use the DRS system in its full capacity.
Make no sense doing things half assed

The ICC itself needs to have a Code of
Conduct for itself , especially since
England ; Australia & India colluded
to Hijack most of the ICC Profits .

ICC has to pay for the DRS equipment... Then we will have standard across. You don't see India refusing to use the DRS in World Cup.. Because ICC spends the money. If it's a bilateral series, The home board needs to spend money and BCCI don't want to do it.

This is very interesting , evidently
there is or will not be ANY Code of
Conduct for the International Cricket
Cabal , aka the ICC . Nor its Individual International Boards .

IMAGINE, THE ICC ALLOWED 3 COUNTRIES

TO HIJACK MOST OF THE PROFITS OF THE

ICC .MY VIEW IS THAT THE ICC HAS SUNK

LOWER THAN THE IOC & FIFA .

The matters with the IOC & FIFA ,
involved individuals in those Entities . However the Hijacking of most of the ICC's Profits , involves
the Cricket Boards of India ; England
; and Australia .

my perspective is this :

Evidently You seem blithely unaware
of this fact . In essence , it is
in my opinion asinine that a Code of
Conduct is expected from the Players ; however the International Cricket
Boards are free to Scheme ; & Wheel &
Deal among themselves , and forming
Cliques .

Instead of blaming the ICC, why not look at the member countries that voted?
One would think from following you, that the ICC consist of England, India and Australia, and the others are social members without a vote.

More than likely they were coerced into allowing England ; Australia & India to allowing them into getting the Lion's share of the ICC Profits .

Any which way One chooses to look at what transpired , It Stinks to High
Heaven , and has in my opinion seriously wounded , what little Integrity the ICC once had .

That is the essential point that I am
stating . Here is a Global Sports Entity, that simply does not give a Damn , regarding its Members Stewardship & Governance of Cricket in their respective Countries .

I simply would like persons reading
this article posted by Caribbean Cricket ; to state whether or not they are in favour of the Hijacking of most of the ICC Profits by the
Countries that I have named .
