Guyana always disgracing itself with all the crimes.

Many establishments, black Barbadian service workers have two standards. One, with politeness and general good courtesy, is displayed for white customers. The other, often sour-faced and indifferent at best, and downright rude at worst, seems to displayed to black customers. This treatment of black customers seems to be worse when they speak with a non-Bajan accent. This is really puzzling, especially if you hail from another English-speaking Caribbean country. I've never seen or experienced the same thing in Jamaica or Guyana; and I cannot speak for other islands.

Absolutely one hundred percent correct.

That is so stupid. Ive been in customer service for sometime and in being trained you don't see color...a customer is a customer...just some stupid untrained Bajans.

Golden Sands has been the hotel of choice for Caribbean nationals for years whether cricketers, other sportsmen or entertainers.

My name whose first 18 years of her life was spent Barbados, returned to live there 5 years ago, after spending 40 years in Calgary, it was a Black Guyanese business woman, that wanted to charge her different than others.
When she asked her why, she said that price is for the locals
Ignorance of people are world wide, I lived in Whitby Ontario for a year, I witnesses a West Indian, taking back a chicken she had bought two weeks prior.
That woman was not a bajan
I was on a task force in St John Virgin Islands, I had a different view of customer service to some of the locals.
So you may talk about Barbados, but look around you, when you travell, see if you get the same attention as others.

Very true with what you said, that type of behavior is also practice in St. Lucia (personal experience), Cuba, Columbia and many other countries in South and Central America.

This guy is an individual who said he helped the present government get elected in Barbados.

If one looks at the gist of this thread it's about a robbery at a hotel in Barbados.

Now he claims as he is under stress, that people are
bashing his island.

It's obvious he is not well, like Trump and needs help.

Just ignore dem holier than dem rass response.

They just need to face facts as we have in the Caribbean
crime is on the increase.

I am a Trini and I bash the T&T Government for failures
as this one on Crime, Ferry service, fiscal policies etc..

Was this robbery reported to the police, or was it just reported on social media by one of the resort's guests?

I'm only asking because BIM has a history of under-reporting incidents of crime.

i have little time for people who do no analysis outside of trite remarks. or quote bloggers as if they are experts on a subject.

in 2018 i will not waste time on assholes. this thread was about a robbery and his first post on the subject was about bajans being rude to black visitors

i have travelled all over this world and other places and have encountered rude people in Europe, in the states and in the Caribbean. Rudeness to black people or any people for that matter is not confined to Bim. unnuh ever notice how the French treat Brits or Americans?

besides the other people in the Caribbean i have quoted in my initial post, Cayman Islands is another.

and dont talk about the states and canada, custom officers take pleasure in messing with Jas and unnuh got the gall to talk about Bim?

what i have witnessed is that when Black Americans and some WIndians come to Bim they expect us to fawn all over them. no siree Bob. if you are nice we will be nice. if unnuh want to put on airs well prepare for a rude awakening
