Jamaica getting a beatdown from Bim
In reply to ponderiver
232 FOR 2 and looking to bat once!
In reply to Ray123
Jamaica's bowling will give Bim diabetes
its been years since i have seen so much sweet water
In reply to ponderiver... you should a watch the U19s vs SA. However, anything they can do ...
In reply to natty_forever
Brooks is about to get a ton without breaking sweat
In reply to ponderiver... Campbell and Fuddadin going knock off any score they set.
In reply to ponderiver
The stylist finally getting a big one. Had this been a fashion show, Brooks would be the first pick.
In reply to NYCGURU
All them lodge men in Bim will be very happy
..but remember Barbados boasting a total rookie attack..Chemar Holder,Drakes,Harding and Greaves with Warrican and Chase.
They will either get licks OR rout Jamaica in return.
Holder in his 2nd match for Barbados
Harding in his 4th
Drakes in his 1st
In reply to analyst-kid... hence I feel there might not be a winner. However, you never know with this Yaad side.
In reply to natty_forever
Fudadin not playing it seems. Plus Campbell is allergic to scoring hundreds, seems to get comfortable after scoring a little 50.
Toothless seam attack it appears.
In reply to WICFan
284 for 4 as Chase goes LBW to Mindy for 10. Offered no stroke to one that came back sharply. The stylist Brooks is not out on 115 as the rain has stopped play.
amazing weather! Rain stopping play and Im just 4 mins drive..20 mins walk away and it is nice conditions ...sunny but cool.
In reply to yardman83... seems I have no clue who playing.
In reply to natty_forever
The announcer mentioned that King was dropped. He sounded a bit surprised by the move.
In reply to NYCGURU... I am not. He has no godfather and he should know that, more is expected of him than the others.
In reply to analyst-kid
why u are not at the game
painful batting
In reply to Oilah
Just awful
The extra batting point was ignored, which reminds me of Henderson Springer, going after player's individual goals, instead of team goals, when he was at Cawmere.
In reply to openning
i refused to watch this scrap
In reply to openning
what r u on about?
In reply to tc1
at work. I have a job.
In reply to sudden
Hendy when he was coaching the youth, would not declare or go for victory, if any of the youngsters he was coaching was sixty or more not out.
Looka...Brathwaite declare at 400 and give those young bowlers a chance at Yard this evening.
They even got some help from the umpire - he teif out Brooks hand.
In reply to TheTrail
your hommy batted well yesterday, today I was disappointed from the man from holder's hill.
In reply to analyst-kid
KB not the captain, Brooksie is the cappo
In reply to TheTrail... replays clearly showed the "tief"????
In reply to tc1
your hommy batted well yesterday, today I was disappointed from the man from holder's hill.
Why?
What's the purpose of batting after tea?
In reply to TheTrail
He was too subdued, did not dominated today
Campbell, Campbell Campbell
In reply to yardman83
Blackwood too. Man dem start Super 50 early
I'm surprised Bim didn't enforce the follow on....
Really like what I'm seeing in Chemar Holder
In reply to Oilah
Only saw the first few overs.... Harding bowling loads of no balls but has taken 4 wickets..Holder looked hostile !
In reply to mikesiva
I
Braffit wanted some runs under his belt
In reply to Narper
And he's helping Moseley to get into the 'A' team....
Fabian Allen is going backwards since his good start to the season.
I like the look of both Holder and Harding.... Harding is a rhythm bowler and obviously loses his rhythm on a regular basis... when he gets it right he looks very promising.
JAMAICA SCORPIONS
97/6 (17.3 Ov)
RR 5.54
JAMAICA SCORPIONS Need 253 Run(s) to Win
That was an atrocious shot by Powell. Wondered if he was still trying to win the game?
This would have been a good match to have rested Warrican and give Clarke another shot. Go with the 4 prong
Well done Bim
That was some really good fast bowling by the young bowlers.
Impressive.
BARBADOS PRIDE WON BY 216 RUNS
I cannot believe that a F/C team cannot attempt to bat out 2 sessions to save a game, where is the usual Jamaican fighting spirit? The Windwards are showing how to play after a bad first innings, their experience guys are leading the fight.
In reply to robbo
They run up has to show more aggression, Drakes seem to have it.
In reply to Ray123
Impressive.
Would have been nice if Shakeem was given another chance.
In reply to openning
Agree with that... I think the best two deliveries of the day were Drakes consecutive in swinging yorkers to Powell the second of which dismissed him.
I think Holder and Harding have more pace up their sleeves ..as you say by running in with more aggression.
In reply to Baje
Shakeel Clarke was military medium... Im presuming he can bowl a lot quicker... I know Tino is sweet on him.
In reply to dayne
If only they had someone like Nash.
In reply to robbo
Robbo, brilliant for young Harding.
Just like our recent convo on youth cricket it all comes down to team selection...Harding, Holder and Drakes are all kids who are 19 and 21 but with the ability to bowl quickly and get better...all they need is a plan for them to get game time and experience.
We have to prepare hard wickets and encourage fast bowling within the region as part of any way back for West Indies Cricket and we have to pick these lads.
Ive liked the look of one of two others as well that are relatively new to the scene and they along with others like Alzharri Joseph have to be put on a developmental path to be ready to be at a competitive level at various stages over the highest level over the course of the next 2 years.
In reply to mkcharles
Holder & Joseph when fit should play for the likes of West Indies A to get some more experience in different conditions.
Joseph injured at the moment but Holder should play against England Lions.
Harding had pace, Holder produces some great deliveries but Drakes when going produces control, inswinging yorkers, bring the ball slanting across back into the batsmen...WOW!
Jamaica did not bat badly ...they were just undone bu some exuberant, spirited quality fast bowling by some rank newcomers.
With Guyana producing promising pace bowlers...Leewards producing promising pace bowlers, Jamaica not showcasing their express bowlers and Barbados joining the assemblage....WI fast bowling future looks bright...Gabriel,Cummins and Taylor better watch out! And Holder better step out!
In reply to mkcharles
Couldnt agree more... I know Jamaica are not the strongest batting line up but that was impressive from a very young and inexperienced pace bowling line up from the Bajans.... as you say, there are one or two others around the region as well..... long way to go mind and I would echo your call for hard wickets with some pace in them. !
Good to see.
In reply to analyst-kid
Not true, Jamaica bat badly throughout the season!
In reply to robbo
Most of our young bowlers lacks aggression in their delivery, they seem to be on a stroll
Drakes has aggression, as he run up to the wicket
In reply to XDFIX
A line up of McCarthy,Campbell,Allen,Walton,Blackwood and Powell is a good FC line-up capable of ripping bowling apart. I was scared for those youngsters but they were equal to the task.
In reply to openning
As Owen Estwick said yesterday...Andy Roberts run up looked indifferent and dont carish and then he unleashed terrifying bouncers...Sylvester Clarke had a lazy run up

All the youths was on song. Don't know what he talking about. All were aggressive. Roach pre injuries didn't hustle up but was quick. Think, once Harding can solve the no ball problem, he will be even faster. Fast bowling crop finally allowed to rein.
BAJAN SELECTORS SHOULD BE FIRED RIGHT NOW!
In reply to seaegg99
Those three youngsters for Pride has me wondering if Stoute will ever return to the four day competition.
