We need a new Caribbean ideology
For our present modernity
Cause at the moment
We are our own opponent
Our various Caribbean societies
Are stuck in the sixties
Foreign penetration drains us
Restrains us and constrains us
Unintended consequences from technology
Have wreaked havoc on our identity
We need a new perspective
That is selective and collective
It should drive us inspire us
That should be our focus
To be expressive ,creative, inventive
Not inactive, restrictive or inoperative
Our schools, politicians, trade unions
Should usher in new iterations
In our businesses, societies and systems
And forget old practices, isms and schism
But there is the looting and shooting
The stealing, the beating and robbing
We flee to England, Canada and America
Leaving Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica
The entire Caribbean body politic
Must get together real quick
Crime, corruption and economic disparity
Should be their main priority
We need a correction a new direction
Or mass frustration, destruction engulf the region

Caribbean lost long time now
the years of brain drain that led to smart innovative people that could have provided change and positive direction moved to the US and Canada and this did not help. I don't blame them, why stay when you could have better quality of life and safer environment for you and your family elsewhere

Our brain does that. I make a lot of mistakes including sub/verb agreement. It makes me more conscious than most.
