England U19 Christened by Aussie Pope
Watched it live. Half way though on first innings the English comms seh de ting was dead over.

His second wicket was a thing of beauty
Just shows there are Aussie kids trying to copy their greats. Pity we lack that kind of thing.

Is he available to provide coaching services to our NoGooglyShoo?

behave
inept batting!
less than 150 to chase and get screwed by a leggie!
In reply to ponderiver
Impressive indeed. That was also some excellent slip catching.
In reply to NYCGURU... catches win matches! Something West Indies forgot. We gave the 99 n.o. a life.

Brilliant catching by the Aussie skipper to go with his batting and captaincy
I hope our selectors take note when choosing a captain

If you looked at the game, such utterance would not have been coming from thou.
It was pure brilliance.
Don't find fault with what you don't understand.

The second wicket was a beauty...first ball to the new batsman...he didn't pick the googly...I said: "wow!!!...if only..."
.....................
On another note, a captain who can inspire, contribute and lead, not just clap...Sammy must take note.

most of the batsmen were anchored in the crease, you have to disrupt a leg spinner rhythm!
In reply to camos
Leave your crease at your peril if you cant pick him.

Well said.
Mikey Holding always reminds us with his saying..."Who called you...for you to be coming down the pitch?"
The young man was not only getting the ball to turn both ways AT WILL but the drift, which would have posed difficulty for any batsman; unless you are a Brian Lara.
Pope could teach Bishoo a thing or two about leg break bowling, and specifically the googly. Sangha, the Aussie skipper, could teach Virat and co. how to catch when fielding in the slips.
