Like you, a Caribbean or Guyanese person can also be of South Asian heritage.
Raj's parents migrated to the USA from India, he is a first generation Indian Hindu American and Trump's hatred fits nicely with his Gujrati BJP back-ground.
Not sure if you are aware of it- The majority of Indian American with Gujrati roots not only voted for Trump but they gave millions of dollars- Trump Anti Muslim rhetoric fittted in nicely with Modi's- a big connection that caused a split among Indian Americans.

I think this was done to Italian Americans...& 9/11 changed the whole scenario in regards to immigration...ending chain migration is now intended to assimilate people. i'm done.
