I am watching the TT v Hampshire and the Hampshire players are wearing jerseys with Barbados in big bold letters.
At one point I was confused if TT were playing Bim again after the first beat dong.
I have no audio and the video is poor so I was confused for a while.
Now, if Hampshire can be so good as to attract a sponsor like the Govt of Bim, why can't the WICBC attract similar sponsors?

In reply to Emir

In reply to culpepperboy
Oh gord yuh bad
In reply to culpepperboy
BTA made that decision in the hope that nuff tourist will follow Hampshire to Barbados yearly
Cricket is secondary
anyone knows how much this cost the tourist board annually?
In reply to camos
None of your business. They have a budget
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Keep em cumming, Fuzzy!
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
It is a public expenditure, the tax payers if Barbados fort the bill.
It is only fair then, the tax payers know what it cost them.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
that is why backward asses like you will always be robbed by politicians and management!
In reply to Emir
Is camos a barbadian taxpayer?
In reply to camos
That's still none of your damn business
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Tourism is our business: let's play our part!!
In reply to culpepperboy
Not his. He's an offshore yardie
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Whether Camos is a Bin Taxpayer or not, it is a fair question. I don't see why one needs to question him. In cricket we are all one.
In reply to Khaga
He hall de way in murca and wanna nickel and dime Barbados?
In reply to Emir
So he can question BTA but I can't question him?
In reply to camos
anyone knows how much this cost the tourist board annually?
Just beyond your imagination!!
In reply to culpepperboy
Lol
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Fack Emir and his fake regionalism..
Bim has been sponsoring Hampshire for a while now.
Also, Chelsea football team is another team they sponsor.
You would see Bim advertisement at Chelsea's football matches.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
???
In reply to camos
Given that this competition is not being broadcast in the UK, and there's no coverage of this in England, I don't understand the tourism strategy. County cricket is played before three men and a dog these days, so I'm not sure who the target audience is.
Value for money? You be the judge....
In reply to mikesiva
We did
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Anything Bim does offends some... for some reason.
They don't know Hampshire played in 3 out of 4 T20 blast finals... some wearing those jeresys.
In reply to mikesiva
If you lived in England and followed county cricket, you would had seen this last season.
This promo was not made for this tournament
In reply to mikesiva
fuzzy is right it is fi dem danm business it is clear the target audience is three man and dem dawg from Hingland and not a yaddie domiciled in farrin or kingston
even if the yaddie is a qualified professoional and di mandem and di dawg de pon welfare, it is all part of the MBWA movement
Conde just alluded to it and beckles fired the first salvo when he compared the Don and the ICAN to Dudus during that infamous speech to the Dotties
In reply to mikesiva
I am perplexed. Imagine that!
Also, isn't blasphemy for your countryman (English) to don another country's identity. Or have foreigners wear your country's identification?
This is not professional league.
Maybe both countries are the same, or one feels so?
In reply to openning
Thanks for explaining. I couldn't be bothered
In reply to ponderiver
Ironic they both married yardies. Hmmm
In reply to goofballs
English Premier League teams are owned by Sheikhs,Mullahs and sovereign wealth funds from the mid-east..
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
The posters don't spend a cent in Barbados, yet they have plenty chat, on what, how the government should spend its money.
In reply to openning
As gun_play said. They exist just to find fault with everything BIM does
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
I condemn this assault on the sovereignty of the Republic of Barbados..
Bimshire/Hamshire / Brighton/Bridgetown
same difference
Fuzzy, I am with you 100%!!!!!!
In reply to Dukes
See how they are denigrating Garry Sobers?
In reply to mikesiva
You raise a good point about the matches not being shown in the UK but folks in the US and Canada are also targets.
In reply to Emir
Good Question , perhaps the Bajans in this Forum have an answer to Your
Question .
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Brother Fuzzy, why this arrangement causing so much stir?, is it because somebody just find out bout it?....that arrangement was in place so long the person that bring it up coulda start work and retire, so suppose them did know bout the arrangement with the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks?.......people is sain else yuh......yuh see why I does have to guh down insular lane, if it was another place yuh din gine hear all this talk...........
In reply to cherri
You are so correct
In reply to cherri
How come a simple and honest question causing so much anger?
.In reply to Emir
You mean how come a simple and honest cunt question causing so much anger?..
For years that arrangement was in place, and you now butt up pon it and you got questions.......you mean to say you ent see a game of county cricket fuh de last umpteen years?........you mean to tell somebody that you never read about Hampshire and the other county teams that does come down to Barbados every year to prepare for the County season?.....so I guess that you ent hear or know bout the County Championships that will be held in Barbados in a few months............all part of the BTA Sports Tourism Departments' aim to expose the Island as a sporting destination.......
In reply to cherri
You have time to entertain dem. Ah must commend you on your restraint.
For years Caribbean countries have spent millions of dollars on glitzy magazine and tv ads when all de research shows dat word of mouth is de leading cause of travel. So instead of applauding a country for using a cheaper option dat becomes a conversation piece among people de critics up in arms
In reply to Emir
The same exact people (take note of them) insert themselves in the affairs of other countries they have no stake or business in.
In reply to POINT
Did Cherri answered all your questions?
In reply to Maispwi
so you understood the question? I am encouraged!
In reply to cherri
Makes sense now. Thank you.
Nice to see you around.
Now can you get back to the Emir. His head hard.
So how come Bim doan sponsor the CPL T20 Bim Pride team???
because Polly is cappo?
That must be prick question
In reply to Emir
You asking CUNT questions now?
O mi bellay
In reply to Narper
Would you sell Snow in the Arctic?
Hampshire shirts are bought and seen during the county season
Conde's plan is to have the indoor facility built, so Barbados will be the destination for the county teams, that are now going to Middle East for their preseason camps.
In reply to openning
CPL has a world wide cricket audience
Wouldn't dat more for Bim than being an off season destination for the couty team
Anyway...I care not....jump into the convo for kicks...it's all Bim politcs
In reply to openning
Some men only went school during de vacation.
In reply to Narper
I have been called all kinds of names here, but this is a new one.
If you look at my questions and comments, you'll see it was respectful and sincere. I made no comments about the why and if's of the sponsorship, I just asked.
I respect Bim for their toursim know how and up too now, I haven't questioned why they did it. It is not my forte, I was just curious.
In reply to Narper
Barbados does spend some money on sponsorship during CPL with on-field signage at the oval.
This discussions reminds me of when Cameron and Conde Riley told the governments to stay of CWI business but now wants the governments to help them underwrite the costs of hosting the ICC women world cup.
