BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) — West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine has cleared the air on why he declined a spot on the West Indies squad for next month's ICC World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe.

The Trinidadian said while he was still interested in representing West Indies, he did not feel he was ready yet for a return to international cricket, especially after not playing any one-day matches in 2017.

Philip is afraid he will be called for pelting again.

Remember he was first called in IPL the year before the last world cup...when he was 'bowling' the exact same way for years

He is still 'bowling' the same way...so why bother to try again in the year before another world cup?

I don't blame him....he is making millions...and not playing international cricket

Was he listed/selected in the squad and is dropping out or was this already declared some time back before team selection?
I really don't know.

Look....before he was convicted I said here he was a borderline pelter....borderline to me only because he was not being called.

Battyquake was still arguing Shilly was NOT a pelter even though he was convicted twice

When Narine was convicted...then of course he is a pelter....and has joined Shilly, Samuels and recently Braffit

So YES....he is a pelter and he knows it.

There was nuff time to call Narine for pelting since he was last called, why has he been allowed to bowl when every Umpire is waiting for one bad delivery from him.I find that strange.Umpires are also becoming more rigorous in an effort to clean up the game, they mussy love Narine.

they mussy love Narine

IPL made Narine and IPL can break him

Just before the last world cup they pulled the plug on him

World cup is next year....Narine not taking any chance this time

He hasn't played ODIs since Oct 2016....he doesn't want to bowl too long (10 overs) in any international game

Narine would never play Internationals again and risk his food and i don't blame him. He gets a free pass a the club level and he knows it too well...
