Windies rich history of success at crossroads
Once again the West Indies rich history of success is at stake as the rigmarole between the Cricket West Indies (CWI) and some of the regions most successful players in recent years continues to drag on with no glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.
In March, the Caribbean team will participate with nine minnows for the last two berths for the 2019 ICC ODI World Cup in England. Participation in this qualifier comes on the heels of failure to qualify for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. It was the first time the WI did not participate in a major ICC event. The WI won the first two editions of the ICC World Cup in 1975 and 1979. They were beaten finalist in 1983 by India and at the time it was considered a colossal upset
