Larr Pullo 2018-02-06 02:00:33

How many times he coming with this excuse?

Why are outlets even bothering to print his crap excuse any more?

Just be honest and say you like playing IPL shite cricket and WI cricket holds no attraction for you.

Or retire or whatever already!!!

twisted twisted twisted

He wants to ensure he does not get called before the IPL... It has nothing to do with anything else.

Larr Pullo 2018-02-06 04:43:56

In reply to Pacy

Well if his team has a tacit agreement with the IPL not to call him, then just say I'm only playing IPL, and I will take no further part in real cricket above the odd WI domestic season. All this chat about getting action right is bullspit!!!

Pacy 2018-02-06 04:56:31

In reply to Larr Pullo

He just keeps his doors open for WC and International cricket post his IPL stint. With the way he is bowling he might get called again during the IPL

Exactly and you see soem folks still buying into it.
He knows he no want to really play international cricket cause he'll get called.
And I think I just think he'll get called in the IPL.

I agree with you 100% sir. That 'I want to play but don't want to play' can't work.

Agreed. Narwine full of shoite.

According to Narine, he wanted to "enjoy" his game; that way he could build his confidence before returning to the bigger stage. "It's about my self-performance, and about self-belief, going out there and trying to perform for Trinidad and Tobago; once I can do that, I will be available for West Indies again.

"I think playing for West Indies is the ultimate goal. I think you have to enjoy cricket, no matter where. So I will see how these [domestic] games go in the 50-over [format] and if I am comfortable and enjoying it, why not."
So he wants to ENJOY his cricket before he comes back playing for the Wondies... so obviously he doesn't ENJOY playing for Wondies... yet he says, 'you have to ENJOY your cricket, no matter where.'

Which is it really?

This guy is full of shoite and these selectors are buying that crap? WHY?

Like most have said here and elsewhere, Narwine just doesn't want to get call for illegal bowling action AGAIN in intn'l cricket.... That's the ONLY reason..... evil evil evil evil evil

Narine doing this shoite fir 3 years now .... nothing has changed

“Going to the World Cup is a little too much, too soon and, after consulting the WICB, for both West Indies and my sake we have decided to delay my return to international cricket until I am 100 percent confident in all that I do,”

World Cup blow: Narine pulls out of West Indies squad

That is after all T20 demand is gone he might ultimately come to represent WI smile

In reply to spider

No.

"I just don't want to rush back into international cricket and the 50-over game. I think I need to play some [domestic] 50-overs cricket, get accustomed again [instead of] rushing back and making a mess of myself."

carl0002 2018-02-06 12:06:24

This is not unique to Narine

TBH,you do have to understand he hasn't played anything but 20/20,getting involved in 50 over games is a step up.Maybe next season he may venture into the 4 day and then tests,he's still young enough to play tests in a year or 2.If Narine was pelting more than 15 degrees all his life, and is now cleared, chances are he could be called again, the bent arm wont suddenly disappear,he is making a massive effort to correct his action,I believe he will, and eventually play tests.

imusic 2018-02-07 13:27:50

Narine plays when he is ready to play.

He’s in a position where he can make that sort of decision.

Most, of not all of us, would love to be in a similar position in our lives. Not only would we love to be in that position, we aspire to be in that position.

There will be those of us that are fortunate to be in that position,

So unsure why the invective towards Narine when he’s in a position that most aspire to be in and exercising his options to do as HE sees fit.

If he determines he’s not ready, who is anyone to say otherwise?

Dealing with the CWI or WICB its bullshite vs bullshite........win win situation for both.

Narine is being exceedingly careful with his livelihood....the CWI does not help its players when in need as proven so many

times in the past. Narine is right to have second and third thoughts about playing for a bunch of chumps.

Dem fellas refuse to say they are no longer interested in playing cricket for West Indies and they are all over the place talkin' a packa shit.

dax 2018-02-07 19:04:39

Question is - Larr

How many people given a choice 1.5 mil in 6 weeks playing in IPL

or a possible 1.5 mil in 15 years (with abuse)

will choose the latter?

if you would - then I dont have the adjective to describe 'you"

granite 2018-02-07 19:33:59

In reply to WestDem

Listen mate,Laar got the WestIndies team that represent what he wants to see,why does he want Narine to spoil the consistency. You do understand,
He is just pretending. His hate for Narine goes far beyond cricket.

Larr Pullo 2018-02-08 02:11:15

In reply to dax

Calm down dude, I don't think you're refuting any question that I asked or argument that I made. I'm simply stating that Narine should stop the mamaguy and just say he doesn't intend to play for WI, or international cricket for that matter.

mikesiva 2018-02-09 06:54:31

In reply to Larr Pullo

Sometimes it's a case of the IPL teams doing more for the players than the WICB....

Russell's case is an example. Yes, he was careless to miss three out-of-competition tests. But the WICB promptly forgot about him in his year off cricket. What's the WICB doing to help him get back into cricket after a year's absence...nothing! In contrast, KKR have sent to Antigua support staff to ensure that Russell has a smooth transition back into cricket without any setbacks.

If only the WICB could show similar concern for their players...with this track record, I'm not surprised that players choose the IPL over West indies duties.

Khaga 2018-02-09 07:18:53

In reply to mikesiva

If I recall, KKR have extended similar support to Sunil Narine in remodeling his action. I am not commenting on the results of that effort though.

BCCI paid Mohammed Shami his full IPL contract worth of money while he was on the sidelines recovering from injury.
