Enjoy....
On the TV, it looks like a good crowd.
The selectors were right to rest Morkel. One wicket from two matches at 5.90. Not been great. He needs a rest with the Tests against Australia coming up.
In reply to mikesiva
Pity that DRS against Kohli went against us.Must have been mighty fine edge.Didn't hear a thing.
Yeah Gibson is better off rotating bowlers for form and and finding a decent combo.Morkel hasn't been great thus far.
Just too many loose balls today however.
In reply to djdrastic
did you hear de edge from Kohli bat?
or you just hear de appeal
In reply to shivnotout
Not a thing.
In reply to djdrastic
fixed.

Why did you choose to go to a one-day match when you know damn well that your Test team is so much better than your ODI side?
After 1983, the West Indies ODI side went into decline, but we continued to rule the roost in Tests for another decade. In that 10 year period, I didn't go to a single ODI at Sabina Park, but I attended half a dozen Tests....

Have some business/pleasure to attend to in CT this week.
Need some strong alcohol to watch this team though haha

Duminy the great takes a wicket!
A great catch by Markham...Dhawan out for 75.
IND 158/2 (27.0 Ovs) CRR: 5.85
Ajinkya Rahane *10 (10
Virat Kohli 67 (83

Duminy to Rahane, out Caught by Phehlukwayo!! This is a disappointing shot from Rahane. He's overused the footwork today. Charges down the track again, is sucked into playing a delivery that's drifting away and pops the leading edge to mid-off, who backtracks, arches back, and takes it overhead.
Rahane c Phehlukwayo b Duminy 11(13)
IND 165/3 (29.2 Ovs) CRR: 5.62
In reply to mikesiva
He's bowled well so far. Some good defensive bowling.

Kohli can only bat on curry-powder pitches bro....
Where/how you make up dem stats from?
IND 276/6 (48.0 Ovs) CRR: 5.75
48.3
Chris Morris to Kohli, SIX, caught and Miller slides over the boundary rope. All bottom hand from the Indian skipper. Waited in the crease for the length delivery and pumped it wide of long-on. Excellent stuff from Miller, who covered ground and caught it with both hands, the momentum took him over the ad cushions
49.1
Rabada to Kohli, 1 run, 150 for Kohli. He's tired. No energy to lift his bat and acknowledge.
Well played to extras today.
In reply to djdrastic
Rabada to Kohli, FOUR, India breach the 300-mark. Some of the South Africans walk up to congratulate the Indian skipper. He walks off to a standing ovation. Finishes the innings with a boundary. Full delivery and Kohli is deep in the crease, drills it past the bowler and mid-off inside the ring had no chance
49.5
Rabada to Kohli, SIX, majestic! Shot of a batsman in top form. Uses the depth of the crease to create something. Waited back and transfered his weight to muscle the pull over deep mid-wicket. That came right off the screws
india 303-6 50 ova
Lol I thought the batting is the only worry in this team.Jeez that was a pretty pathetic bowling display. The only guy who could bowl to his field the entire innings was Duminy.
Kholi ; Masterclass again.
In reply to djdrastic
It's a good thing Duminy retired from Test cricket. He seems to play better in limited overs cricket.
Ngidi and Phehlukwayo were the most expensive.
Amla out to bumrah for one. This done!
Beautiful day today at Newlands

Ball really cracking off Duminys blade so far though I think India got around 50 too many for us to realistically chase this.
saffies responding well.
How deep? Kuldeep!
sa 79-2

Lovely photo! My cousin visited cape Town and committed the sacrilege of telling us that the south African city was more beautiful than Jamaica the land of his birth.
But I can see what he means.
However, you guys need rain don't you? This is only good for cricket!
Klaasen in now.
Klaasen out plumb for six completely missing. If he is the next best keeper then the selectors must be praying for de Kock to recover before the Australian team turns up.
In reply to mikesiva
Klassen out now!
In reply to mikesiva
Mikey, you saying Klassen is a fluffer???
In reply to runout
Duminy gets his half century! Off 64 balls.
In reply to mikesiva
Good knock that...
Duminy goes...Hahal gets him...LBW.
SA 107/4 (26.0 Ovs) REQ: 8.21
South Africa need 197 runs
In reply to mikesiva
Mikey...you need to have them check that ball...Kuldeep 6overs 10 runs...that is not one day cricket.
Number 1 ODI ranked Saffies is allowing India to come in their barnyard, shut the door, and kick their butts...do they deserve to be Number 1?
Yeah, allyuh talk nah!
Seems like the Saffies cupboards are bare...is this the effect of the Quota system?
Miller c Dhoni b Bumrah 25(42) [4s-1]
RSA 133/5 (33.0 Ovs) CRR: 4.03 REQ: 10.06
In reply to runout
Klaasen is in the team and he didn't impress. Is he a quota player?
It just so happens that south Africa have a very good test team but a poor limited overs side. Remember that the test side is ranked second in the world and they just beat top ranked India 2-1. Surely you haven't forgotten already?
In reply to runout
They bowled about 12 wides. Can u imagine if they hadn't the best bowling coach around what would happen.
Zondo's not good enough at this stage.
In reply to mikesiva
his fc record is decent
actually no, not zondo
the other lad who batted earlier
zondo is a 30sinting
RSA 142/5 (34.0 Ovs) CRR: 4.18 REQ: 10.12
South Africa need 162 runs
Khaya Zondo 13 (33
Chris Morris 10 (6
In reply to mikesiva
No I haven't forgotten that they beat India 2-1. That was a well played series. However they do not have bench depth...if you see their back-up...they are a way distant from the first ups. Be it test or ODI.
Left to the hotel with woman in hand after the Duminy wicket.
This sh1te ain't worth my time haha
India just way too strong for us in this format.
Chris Morris lbw b Kuldeep Yadav 14(10) [4s-1]
RSA 150/6 (35.3 Ovs) CRR: 4.23 REQ: 10.62
South Africa need 154 runs in 87 balls

Time better spent in a hotel room fuh sure, either way you might stillbe going down!

mike/dj,
Is today's XI the most "transformed" XI ever?
Don't know...but it seems like the Saffies are back to their choking best.
Ta ta Tahir!!!
In reply to runout
SA 173/9 (38.5 Ovs)
South Africa need 131 runs in 67 balls
In reply to shivnotout
Epic beat down. And I don't think that Team India will take their foot off the gas for the next games.
In reply to shivnotout
Lungi...LBW-ingi...game finished.
Spinners...18 Overs, 69 runs, 8 wickets.
SA 179-all out (40.0 Ovs)
India won by 124 runs

Kuldeep Yadav 9-1-23-4
In reply to shivnotout
Quota licks shared
In reply to Narper
Bro...I look at this and see chalk and cheese. No contest.
In reply to Khaga
You a real troublestarter you
I see this team being transformed 5 love for the ODI series. Its not even a contest tbqh.
On the flip side we can probably bid on hosting a world cup based on the current team composition which would be nice.Haven't hosted a 50 over one since the early aughties.
In reply to Narper
Bumrah soften de-cock...and pace and bounce took care of Faf and AB...Lungi and Phehlukwayo seems to be annointed a bit too soon for their own good.
Zondo didn't look the part.
Klassen should be the back up to the back-up.
Tahir seems like a deer in a headlight...he can't even buy a wicket.
Rabada has lost his pixie dust.
Markram appears clueless with his captaincy...early days yet, but he deosn't seem sure about himself.
I hope the real Sout Africa shows up before this tour is over.
