It is reported that the CPL 2018 player auction will be held in England. I would like to know if and when was the IPL player auction not ever held in India.

Why? It's not like any English players will be taking part, because it clashes with the county season. These matches are also played too late in the night to get good viewing figures in the UK.

I hope so, but between the ownership issues, issues with the franchises losing money, rumours that future matches were going to be played in UAE, I fear the worst.
