This from the CWI website:

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket fans across the world can look forward to high quality broadcast using the latest in modern technology when ESPN starts its coverage of this year’s Super50 Festival, from Thursday in Antigua.

The curtain raiser will be aired from the picturesque Coolidge Cricket Ground, featuring the Group B leaders Guyana Jaguars and star-studded Jamaica Scorpions at 2pm (1pm Jamaica Time).

sunfish 2018-02-08 13:43:11

Ok but online service seems to be non existent. The following is also from the CWI site.

It is a production of Cricket West Indies and will also feature amazing sights and scenes of the Caribbean. The live ball-by-ball will also be available on ESPN Playhttp://www.espnplay.com – ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.

Yep it seems the US was excluded from the list:

ESPN will bring coverage to cricket fans via platform and partnerships across the globe including the Caribbean, Indian sub-continent, Europe including the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand; Sub-Saharan Africa; the Middle East; and Latin America and Brazil.

I really don't understand how people having issues with getting espn in 2018.

As long as you have internet access,
or data you can get cable channels.

Its called: -
*-* Firestick
*-* G-Boxes
*-* Android boxes
*-* Android cell phones
*-* etc...

I watch cable, sports, movies etc
on my cell phone, on my lap top,
on my desk top, even at work.

Get with it people.

FireStick is Unavailable on Amazon at this time.
G-Boxes sounds complex to startup and might be illegal.
And I don't do Android

positiveg 2018-02-08 20:52:42

And you have to do a subscription with DirectTvNow to get ESPN on the Stick. I've cut the cable and I don't do subscription. I guess you can argue that I will miss out when free streaming is unavailable but we make our choices and live by them..

Tonks anyway..

TanteMerle 2018-02-08 21:08:32

In reply to sunfish

No you do not.

All you need is an Amazon Prime Account,
which anyone can set up free.

However, the stick costs about $50 US.

Amazon Firestick,

Google it.

I have googled it. This from the Amazon site perhaps I missed something. Notice the 'Unavailable' bit of info. I think Amazon want's you to buy Alexa but I don't understand why I should rush out and get the latest hyped product.

From The Amazon Site

TanteMerle 2018-02-09 16:37:21

In reply to sunfish

You are technically correct.

No firestick without Alexa,
but the price had dropped again
to way under $50 bucks.

That's a big bargain, don't you think?

I remember a few years ago when they were $90.

You download the channels free.

There are several programs that people use.

Don't want to mention them here.

Check any computer geek that you know.

For all those in USA.
ESPN Caribbean is carrying the Antigua leg.

I watch the Barbados leg on CWI webshite,
oops, I mean CWI website.

lol

Care to expand on that one? Are you saying that you can get ESPN Caribbean in the US using the Firestick?

And is there an addition cost for Alexa? I guess I could look that one up but perhaps you have the answer.
