'Pillar of the community' deported from US after 39 years to a land he barely knows

With nothing but the clothes on his back and less than $300 in his pocket, Amer Adi was put on a plane and deported to Jordan, the country he left 39 years ago to pursue his American dream.

His 94-year-old mother sat in a wheelchair at the arrivals gate, overcome with emotion as she waited for Adi. She hadn't seen him in 20 years.

Adi lived in America for nearly 40 years. He has a wife who is a US citizen, and four daughters who are also US citizens. He owns several businesses in his adopted hometown of Youngstown, Ohio.

A week ago, he was deported.
For more than 20 years, his life has been a legal battle. But with the help of an Ohio congressman, he was able to remain in the US. That all changed when US President Donald Trump took office last year and doubled down on immigration.

Don't let the US deport this good father of 3

Syed A. Jamal was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on January 24, outside his Lawrence home, in front of his children as he prepared to take them to school. He had no chance to hug them goodbye.

Syed has lived and worked in the United States for more than 30 years, since coming here from Bangladesh on an international student visa. Our community knows him. In the faces of Syed's three young children -- all American citizens -- we have seen the actual human cost of our current immigration policies.

Their father is being held now, far away from his family, in a detention center in Missouri, and faces deportation.
Syed Jamal must be allowed to stay.

Two Blondes walk into a bar that serves food and pull out their sandwiches but the barman tells them "You can't eat your own sandwiches in here." So they swapped. lol

Look bro...if you live in the US over 30 years and have only 300 bucks to fall back on, that is your fault.

This is the land of honey and money. If you like the Prezzie, you can get both. If you like Snoopy, you have a choice!

lol lol lol
