okay, I know...I am years late...
Thing is I had really given up watching TV series for a long time until I was coaxed into watching Game of Thrones...and had to binge four seasons of it..
Same story with Fargo and Breaking Bad...
It seems as if there are quite a few good series on netflix and I've binged a few:
Better Call Saul
Peaky Blinders
Black Mirror (anthology than series)
I love these series...heard good thing about Ozark, Narcos, Empire, Mad Men, Power, etc..and will commit to some bingeing...
But let me say this right about now....Walking Dead blows eveything out of the water...it is not without its flaws (those zombie heads get smashed with a good foot stomping waaaay too easily) but its portrayal of the human condition is off the charts. Emotional and moral dilemnas, inconsistency and hypocrisy are played out and exposed. Nothing remains static. The necessity of dictatorship but at the same time the virtues of democracy are acted out.
The uselessness of capitalism in the apocalypse. The need for socialism.
How finding a purpose can change someone (Daryl).
That preventative assassination has credibility (Governor)
