how many matches were abandoned due to the unsafe nature of an uncovered pitch?

Are Boycott and Gavaskar the greatest batsmen and greatest athletes of all time? They had to standup to the vaunted Windies 4 prong time and time again? They also managed to avoid being killed out there in the middle.

I think Geoff and Sunil are terribly underrated. It's their remarkable skill, physical ability, and unparalleled hand-eye coordination that allowed them to combat the greatest fast bowling attack of all time.

It's a miracle that more cricketers weren't killed between the 40's and 80's. No helmets, uncovered pitches, terribly fearsome fast bowling.

No you are right Dev... they were all medium paced pie chuckers is those days...no need for helmets... in fact no need for thigh guards... what would they have done if they had come up against all these lightning quick bowlers on these grassy quick pitches of today.... Viv would have averaged 25.... there is no doubt that Kohli is the greatest batsmen that ever drew breath.... there ...it’s been said now..... happy ?

Devin really thinks that they were all pie chuckers is those days and today’s bowlers are better, quicker etc.... it of course allows him to assert that Kohli is the greatest of all time.

It is a fact that Kohli is the greatest of all time- just look at all those shots in lick it cricket and test matches with sub standard bowlers.

I mean how dare anyone can claim the ordinary players like Viv Richards, Sobers, Gavaskar and Miandad could class with him?

And if you dig further, in all sports, take the GOATS- Muhammad Ali, Pele, Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, et all, Kholi will best them any day.

You have to conclude he is the greatest athlete in all sports who ever lived.
