So you ain know it even worse now bro?
London, I can't speak of, but Harlem is completely different now.
Sadly gentrification has removed the best (and worst) of Harlem and replaced it with 1M+ 1100sq ft Apartments.... A Brownstone home that was <150K 20years ago in Harlem is now 2M (minimum).... so bro ... Harlem is no longer Harlem of the 70/80's.
I walk through Marcus Garvey Park at any hour... that was not possible even in the 90s

I've had quite a nomadic life and lived in Harlem for a very short period of time.
Harlem has quit a history. It's past of the 70's/80s had been a place for immigrants as well as hustlers of all kinds and with that Harlem had it's share of troubles. Not so much today, Harlem has gone through a renaissance. I'm not sure if it's all good though.
