35 out of 50
Another one bites the dust.
Man bounce out Blackwood so easy. We got to do something urgently about our slow, dead wickets. In the space of 20 years we no longer have batsmen that can play short-pitched bowling.
Brooks out for 12
Jimbo timeeeeeeeeeeeeee
In reply to doosra
WICKET! Over: 14.2 SHAMARH BROOKS 12(39) st BEN FOAKES b JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 54/4
In reply to doosra
Just last week Tino was advocating for Brooks to be elevated to the big team. I pity our poor selectors having to choose from this bunch. The pain....
In reply to doosra
Brooks is moving too much to the off stumps, he seem to be copying Amla and Smith.
Yet hope he has a batting coach, who can assist him with this changed in his set up.
In reply to openning... why he need a coach, he should be able to work this out on his own, as some here have said.
In reply to natty_forever
Some on here still think, playing Gully and Road cricket, will prepare you for International duties.
WICKET! Over: 25.3 VISHAUL SINGH 10(32) ct BEN FOAKES b PAUL COUGHLIN, WINDIES A 76/5
The fringe Test players and the best of the PCL are all out for less than 100.

Darn. Jimbo run out, attempting a brisk single!!!
Watch his critics come out in force after him now.
In reply to Norm
Jimbo and a brisk single in the same sentence. How much did he score.
In reply to NYCGURU
Tea break: WINDIES A - 109/7 in 41.6 overs (SHANE DOWRICH 29 off 89, JEREMIAH LOUIS 6 off 22)
In reply to mikesiva
Thanks for the update boss.
In reply to NYCGURU
Jimbo made 4, with a boundary. Was saved by a thin edge into the pad from being lbw, first ball.
In reply to Norm
He did not backup properly.Should have been a comfortable run
even with his slowness .He should position himself at the batting crease when backing up
where he can can have his bat within the crease and ready to take off.
The replay showed him walking with bowler and stopped and was out by inches.
Come on Big Corn, I want you to succeed at this and the higher level by giving yourself the
best chance.
In reply to Logic
Did not see his or Singh's dismissal but you are right..This generation of WI batsmen
need some grounding against quick stuff. It is of course an indictment of everyone
overseeing the cricket.
In reply to NYCGURU
My pleasure...though there's not much pleasing about this batting effort.
WICKET! Over: 42.6 JEREMIAH LOUIS 6(23) b JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 114/8
Damn WI suck
In reply to Runs
West Indies A suck remember that, different from West Indies.
In reply to Runs
That's putting it lightly
In reply to Runs
Dowrich gets his half century!
In reply to mikesiva
He knows guys are after his job.
In reply to hubert
Jimbo was definitely not fleet-footed, despite trying hard to make his ground. He and his batting partners will have to make allowance for his lack of acceleration when thinking about quick singles. Apart from the very first ball he faced, he was hitting the ball nicely.
Meanwhile, Dowrich seems to have found his groove and is putting up a good rearguard fight with Warrican.
WI A 159-8 off 53 overs at the moment. Dowrich 57*, Warrican 17*.
Very good fight back with Dowrich and Warrican. Was sure we wouldn't make 150
In reply to Oilah
Yup. Excellent work.
Well done Shane and Jomel

Congrats to Dowrih on the ton
he really knows ppl out there fighting for his wuk
Windies lead by two.
very nice going guys
Congrats Jomel on that half century.
Why did they make Powell captain?
Why d dunce cappo opening the bowling with Reifer and Cornwall?
Wham to Joseph and Louis?
Surely one dem could partner Cornwall with the new ball instead of Reifer
Watching the boys bat this morning.
Powell sweeps a full ball, up in the air and out.
Blackwood goes after everything with hard hands, attacking or defending
Does these guys determine their shots before the bowler bowl the ball and just go through with it ??
Blackwood leaves the ball and bowled like a dunce
Ball pitch on off stump.
In reply to LBW375
That was the arm ball and Blackwood did not read it
In reply to LBW375

Good looking out.
In reply to NYCGURU
Would love to see this venue hosts Test matches. Perhaps it could
if the Board is pro active taking and developing cricket and fan base
outside of Kingston.
The 2nd and final Test vs Bangladesh in July is slated for Sabina park
as usual. Were I in charge I would switch it to this Greenfield Venue.
Knowing the mindset of the JCA and others I doubt this will ever happen near
or long term.
The only missing necessity is an electronic scoreboard.
WICKET! Over: 9.1 KIERAN POWELL 30(33) ct NICK GUBBINS b LIAM LIVINGSTONE, WINDIES A 51/2
WICKET! Over: 12.5 JERMAINE BLACKWOOD 4(16) b JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 57/3
WICKET! Over: 20.6 VISHAUL SINGH 14(20) lbw JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 80/4
'A' team making a meal of this...5 down for 86. Spin biting
5 wickets are down. It seems like we want to lose, because we do not know how to win! Not able to bat spin or pace.
Can you believe it?
In reply to solidrock
Not to worry, Jumbo Cornwall will save us.
In reply to hubert
WICKET! Over: 22.3 SHANE DOWRICH 3(4) b JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 86/5
WICKET! Over: 25.4 RAYMON REIFER 3(12) ct HASEEB HAMEED b LIAM LIVINGSTONE, WINDIES A 91/6
How they have 6 down when it is only 5 down??
Now it is 6 down. 15 to win
Reifer got robbed out.
Ball seemed to hit his elbow......
Reifer now gone 6 down for 91. Scoreboard saying 7 though
Big Corn joins Singh. These two should get 'A" over the line.
In reply to RemainsUnknown
Looks like it was not a clean dismissal.
Seven wickets down. We really could lose this match! Are we crazy and worst??
WI trying desperately to lose!!!!
In reply to solidrock
WICKET! Over: 26.6 VISHAUL SINGH 17(30) ct JAMES PORTER b JACK LEACH, WINDIES A 97/7
Vishaul out twice....
In reply to hubert

In reply to mikesiva

We now have lost 8 wickets. Losing this match is more than possible now!Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
In reply to methodic
That is worrying..they better win. Putting my money on Big Corn to bring it home.
In reply to Runs
U see Big Corn running quick Two to get back on Strike..Luv this guy
In reply to hubert
Big corn was able to run two alright
There is a calmness Cornwall brings to the proceedings!
In reply to hubert
ah now see big Rakeem scamper two. Ah had to laugh.
In reply to solidrock
yup
Big Corn brings it home. A touch of class and sanity to the proceedings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In reply to methodic
Now finishes it in style with a smashing drive thru extra cover...four blows.
a four by Cornwall and its all over.
He looks fit to me though...he just looks like a big guy now.
Only a few of these guys are anywhere level for test cricket (only Dowrich, Cornwall and Warrican)
Circumstances conspired for me to be able to watch for a while..Glad I was able to.
Good win but a lot of shortcomings highlighted WI cricket plight.
Cornwall should be batting ahead of Reifer in this line up.
We've all seen the two at bat, base solely on batting performance, Cornwall is miles ahead of him.
In reply to analyst-kid
I think so. Do you know how hard it is to be that big and that good at anything, much less cricket? Me myself can't remember any West Indian with that size and shape being such a good sportsman.
The umpires may have had a very lousy match. I wish we could have seen more closely some outs given and some not outs.
But, it was horrible seeing the attitudes by some of our players to umpires about decisions made. If a few receive some punishment it is well deserved.
Pathetic
If these are the players next in line we still up shit street
In reply to LBW375
u guys always shifting the goal line, it was the pitch , both team batting poorly due to poor preparation of the strip.
WINDIES A Won by 2 Wickets
In reply to tc1
it was the pitch yes, but it was our pitch
