Jamaica vs Kent

mikesiva 2018-02-14 10:01:14

Not watching this, but it seems that Trevon Griffith and Oshane Thomas have been brought in for Rovman Powell, on his way to southern Africa for World Cup qualifiers, and Gavin Wallace, who's been dropped again.

so far..so good....

a score under 200 is likely...

but then again...this is an up&down Jamaican team... who knows what can happen

wink evil

analyst-kid 2018-02-14 10:30:57

174/5 in 44....this tournament has shown ANY score over 200 is trouble for these regional teams.

Jamaica bats will just have to take their time...but can they?

Kent got enough runs already. 200 plus is big bonus against
a frail batting line up.

In commentary a couple of days ago, Gidman said that Jamaica were stronger in batting than bowling...let's hope so!

of the 5 wickets lost, 3 of the frontline batsmen totaled 5 runs!!

Still a winnable match for Jamaica...need Russell and King to consolidate until over #43 and then unleash....

I do not know why Taylor and Griffiths in this team. Two walking wickets that. So we 2 down before we start. I agree about Russell and King. Both are playing circumspectly at the moment.

Kent has to get Russell out...as long as he is there they will get the runs.

cricketmad 2018-02-14 16:09:43

ALL the matches that Jamaica has won so far were due mainly to individual performances .First it was McCarty then Walton ,and now Russell .We need team performance, more players need to start contribute.

hubert 2018-02-14 16:46:12

In reply to analyst-kid

You were right. I am pleasantly surprised to them win. Did not factor Dre Russ. Missed most of the proceedings.
