of FBI director because tips regarding Parkland shooter was not passed on to the FBI's Miami office to investigation.

This is the same Governor Scott in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma failed to respond to multiple telephone calls for help from a nursing home where 8 patients later died. And these calls for help were made to a cell number that Scott personally gave to nursing homes throughout Florida rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes

He should have resigned after those old people died in that nursing home following the hurricane. His office ignored pleas and calls.
Check out that story.

This is just a continuation of the conservative right- wing campaign against the FBI, in support of Trump

Yesterday’s indictment against those Russians was part of the push back against this campaign.

The same thought occurred to me when I first heard Scott’s call for the FBI director’s resignation. Scott is doing Trump’s the bidding. I hope Scott runs for that U.S. Senate seat in November and gets massacred at the polls.

It’s the height of hypocrisy that Scott did not resign after those nursing home deaths, but he is now calling for the FBI director to resign.

Yes Scott is a phony, it was known for years now, but the FBI are also in some instances selective in who they look at seriously, if someone had reported that the guy appeared to be a Muslim sympathizer that shooter would have been monitored and probable arrested some time ago.

Scott is right about the FBI but yes he should have resigned when he messed up.

Please explain what the FBI Director, who oversees 35,000 employees, should have done other than having a procedure in place that was not followed by his subordinates.

I am sympathetic to your view, but remember that the same FBI missed the Boston bombers.

Yes the FBI probably screwed up here, but is that the root of the problem? If the director resigns, will that decrease the likelihood of another mass shooting happening next week?

All this is politricks ....smoke and mirrors to hide the truth of the matter which is that although the vast majority of Americans favour more gun control, the power of the NRA prevails and the 17 billion dollar industry keeps rolling on.

Not-so-friendly reminder that since Trump has come into office, he has made this country more susceptible to gun violence — not less.

The irony is that if the FBI had followed up on the Parkland school shooter tip in January they would not have been able to take away his AR-15. Not in Rick Scott's Florida where a 19-year old can buy an AR-15 but not a handgun, and not in Donald Trump's America where the first piece of legislation signed by Trump as President made it easier for the mentally ill to get guns.
