How Can WIndards Get Bonus Point???

Emir 2018-02-17 11:40:46

So they need to win by a certain margin- runs/overs, to gain a bonus point in order to qualify for semis.

You would think the commies would provide this information as it is the only relevant stat at this moment, but apparently they do not know it.

The commies outlined all areas,
Now that the Windwards finished the inning, they can now tell the listeners, the number of overs, and score, they will have to bowl Hampshire out for.

But that is my point, at the conclusion of the innings they did not- they should have projected this throughout the innings and towards the end of the innings it would have been known.]

They did not outline it at all- all Barry did was to rehash the rules, what a good commie would have done was to project the rules on an actual score.

Dude, Harold Eastmond outlined the rules of the bonus point.
We will hear after the resumption, the exact ways for the Windwards to gain that extra point.

You just not getting it or you have low standards.

Eastmomd simply read the rules, did not provide the score needed for the bonus point at the conclusion of the innings as is done by international standards.

In fact, he just did so only at the resumption of Hampshire innings- so viewers had to wait until after the break to know.

Dude, how you so lazy, even if WI get a bonus point and tie T&T, they are still .9 in the NRR deficit that they have to make up!

Emir 2018-02-17 12:19:58

In reply to WestDem

Really bhai? Well RR is not a factor, if WWI tie in points with TT, they qualify as they will have more wins- big grin

Run rate only comes into the equation if the # of wins are equal. Don't forget this the WICBC writing rules, so stupidity is nornal

Eastmond did not know the final score of the Windwards when he spoke of the rules.
The stream ended at the end of the Windwards inning
The Commies has just given us, the total that the Windwards will have to bowl Hampshire out, in order to gain the extra point.

The only way the Windward get into the semi, is by the bonus point.

Yadi 2018-02-17 12:28:46

Bowl out Hamshire for 234 or less.

That's very possible

Maispwi 2018-02-17 13:43:20

Windwards also have to overcome T&Ts Net Run Rate, since they won a game apiece, which doh look possible.

In fact it was never a contest. The tie breaking rules are as follows

In the event of teams finishing on equal points in the preliminary round, the right to play in the next round will be determined as follows:

• The team with the most number of wins

• If still equal, the team with the most number of wins over the other team(s) who are equal on points and have the same number of wins

• If still equal, the team with the highest number of bonus points

• If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate

Unless thes rules have changed, the Windwards never stood a chance

The team with the most number of wins

This will be the Windwards fifth victory.
The only way for the Windwards to get into the semi, is winning the game and getting the extra point.
