I am confused.

According to CC's schedule on the right side of this page, the WI vs SL first Test starts Friday June 1 in Trinidad.

How is it then possible for Pres Eleven vs SL 3-day match to start on Wed May 30 - with some of the same players - Powell, Hamilton, Cummings etc.- in both the test & Pres squads?

CC.com have it wrong...the first Test starts on the 6th of June

Based on this squad, Powell is now losing the fight to being in the starting 11 to D Smith.

This would be expected seeing that you can't select someone in the squad at Smith's age and experience to just get him acclimatized.

Thanks. I thought I was reading it wrong.

Earlier this year on this ground a Barbados team with a spin trio of Warrican, Walsh Jr and Williams routed a Trinidad team captained by Denesh Ramdin. This ground seems to yield a very slow turning pitch aiding spin bowling.

Interesting to see how effective Cornwall/Warrican will be knowing they have rose to the occasion everytime asked. Also interested to see how Hemraj Ambris,Brooks, Campbell and Hamilton bat and the fast bowlers Cummins Joseph and Reifer.

Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bat first vs the CWI President’s Xl at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.
