Afridi retired from international cricket Thursday but not before he donated US$20,000 to the Windies hurricane relief effort.
Shahid Afridi has proven to be a man of his word when despite suffering from an injured knee, he showed up to represent the ICC World XI for the charity match against the Windies at Lord’s on Thursday.
The match was held to raise funds to repair and renovate cricket facilities in the Caribbean that were damaged during the passage of hurricanes through the region in 2017.
The former Pakistan captain took 1 for 34 off his four overs as the Windies, batting first, compiled 199 for 4 from 20 overs. He made only 11 in a losing cause as the Windies bowled the ICC XI for just 127 to win by 72 runs, but what Afridi did afterwards will endear him to cricket fans worldwide.

But do you think that Bravo has the financial capability to donate USD 20K? It all boils down to ability to donate (profondeur poche).
Afrida can...

Perhaps, things are so bad in "paradise", Dwayne Bravos needs to safeguard his US dollars.
Btw, Afridi did not depend on friendly donors to make a contribution...it came straight from his profondeur poche.
However, I am giving Bravos the benefit of the doubt and say he is not as wealthy as Afridi.
...............
OAN, only you can let out "jackass droppings" here.

That Afridi can contribute 20k is an indication of the lucrativeness of the "match fixing" biz.

Congrats and thanks to Afridi, he is showing goodwill and leadership, however more Caribbean players should have been invited to play in that game even if the had to play for the World XI and more WI players should make public what they are donating as it would encourage Fans to donate also.

Contribute to your daughter's college fund on behalf of the West Indies Hurricane relief fund with a proviso that she majors in West Indian studies at one of the great WI institutions of higher learning.

No.
People should be free to donate as much or as little as they wish and do so without anybody else knowing.
