IN AUSTRALIA THE INVISIBLE MAN IS VISIBLE

POINT 2018-06-19 00:51:13

The below is in an article from :

HERALD SUN - PLENTY POWER 1ST.

ELEVEN TEAM .

Kenroy Peters is very visible . In fact he is going to be the Coach for his Team Plenty Power 1st eleven Cricket Club .

In the last Summer Peters was the best bowler for his Club which won 9 matches & a Draw from 11 home & away
matches ; before winning 2 Finals .

The Invisible Man was his Team's Best
Bowler taking 29 wickets @12.28 .

" HE IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL PERSON .

THE WAY HE PREPARES, HE IS JUST A

SUPREME ATHLETE "

Outgoing Plenty Power President Graeme Vallen said of Kenroy Peters.

Peters will start his Stint as Coach when returns to Australia in September this Year .

WELL DONE KENROY PETERS !!!!

It is very unfortunate that that
Your talent was never ever fully recognized in this Region . Because
The Idiots believe that Pace Bowlers
had to be well over 6 ft. and have
Pace like Fire .

You are being recognized in the various Teams You have played for, out of the Region ;but in the Region they look at you as being a Freaking
Leper .

I am delighted that YOU are having
a Hearty laugh at the Bums in the
Region who rejected your skills , and made you Invisible in the Region.

Happy for him. Congrats and glad he's able to have a career after being a player.
Don't big him up by bringing down others now.

I have to bring down , the Incompetence of the WICBC/CWI , aka
the Worst Cricket Board in the Commonwealth . Mention must also be
made of the Worst Cricket Board in the
Region , aka the Windward Islands Cricket Board .

It would be a crime of major proportions If I ignored their total
Mal Administration . It is indeed interesting that People Overseas can
recognize Talent , and hire Players while the Idiots in the Region ignore talented Players .

As I have stated elsewhere in this
Forum , those in the governance of
West Indies Cricket relish hiring
Foreigners , who get fat Salaries &
Tans . In preference to Our Former
Players .

This aptly demonstrates that they have never released themselves from
Mental Slavery . It also demonstrates the gross animosity that those in the governance of West
Indies Cricket , have to Former Players .

Their propensity to hire Foreigners
before hiring Our Former Players illustrates my point .

Well...I'm happy & glad for the invisible & humble man for whom WICB unduly looked past in favor for bwoys from the 'bigger' Islands! & as XFIHDIT says, de man has food on the table & that's important.

Point, most of us post the link from articles we have read, it is easier and faster for the reader.
Even though you are not violating the rules, telling the reader of an article, is so much different, from linking him/her to the article.

Prior to Kenroy Peters going to Australia , he was hired by a Cricket Club in England .

He some years ago was the Vice Captain of the Team he played for in England .
Being selected to play 1 Test Match in
South Africa was merely to ease the
minds of the West Indies Selectors .

I know that in SVG , there are Persons who were in the Management of the Windward Islands Team who helped making him Invisible , and
went to the Airport to greet him when he returned from his first stint in Australia last year .

The stark fact is this :

"YOU CANNOT KEEP A GOOD PLAYER DOWN"

The attitude that pervades in the
Region by those who govern Cricket
will not support Former Regional
Players to assist in West Indies Cricket .

They prefer to bring in Foreigners ,
to get Tanned & a hefty Salaries . This is due to their dislike of Our
Former Players .

That is very True , before going to Australia , when he was in England
the Club he played for, also hired him to Coach their Youngsters .

Maybe dem fraid of you, so they give a consolation match to keep you down and quiet as you were raising a lot of questions about his invisibility/non selection!

Happy for him now.

I must say that Kenroy Peters is an excellent coach, especially with the younger ones. By far the most humble cricketer I have met, never let the fact that he's played at the highest level making him treat others as beneath him.

He has a bright coaching future ahead!!

Well Stated , I have met him several times while I was living in SVG , between 2001 - 2005 .

As of the 13th of October 2017 ,
Kenroy Peters had an ECB LEVEL 2
COACHING CERTIFICATE , in which he
topped his Class .

It is at the younger level we need our best coaches.

If Peters is a really good coach then Jimmy Adams should get him involved with the youths

Your attempt to slyly denigrate Kenroy Peters achievements is duly noted . FYI this Post is about Kenroy
Peters .

If you wanted to write about Level 3
Coaches , the onus was & is on You to start Your Own Freaking Thread .

Your Post was in my opinion a vain attempt to denigrate Kenroy Peters
being a Coach . When I cited that he
had a Level 2 Coach .

YOU decided in my post , to state the names of Persons in the Region
who have Level 3 Coaching Certificates .

My Post is about a Player who was
made Invisible by the Windward Islands Cricket Board & the WICBC/CWI .

When you heard that he was being hired to be a Coach for the Team he
played for in Australia , YOU decided to ask what level Coaching
Certificate Kenroy Peters had .

On reading that he had an ECB Level 2 Coach , to increase your malice ,
You decided in my Post to publish
the names of Persons in the Region
who have Level 3 Coaching Certificates .

The point however is this , Kenroy Peters was employed to play & Coach Youngsters in England , and now is
employed to Coach Youngsters , of the Team he now plays for in Australia .

Your attempts to continuously indulge in One Upmanship is duly
noted . I am however not surprised , since it is an habitual practice of
Yours .

It is good to see Peters finding employment, especially since league cricket in England policies have changed.
As far as coaching, thats what players have been doing for decades, in leagues around the world.
My question about coaching was to find out his level, knowing that coaching certificate is a prerequisite.

The Club Debate: Are overseas players worth the risk in 2018?

T
he foggy immigration laws shaping overseas player recruitment have perplexed too many for too long. Your club may be mulling over the acquisition of a foreign pro for next season. One word of advice… DON’T – at least not until you’ve read this article. An update from the ECB has landed, and it could save your club chairman a £20,000 fine.

In September 2016, and again in January 2017, Paul Bedford, the ECB’s national participation manager (leagues and competitions), informed clubs that the Home Office had advised that non-European Economic Area (EEA) players entering the UK using the Standard Visitor visa, Mobility Visa or as a Non-Visa National would only be permitted to join an amateur club if they qualified as an ‘Amateur’ – “a person who engages in a sport or creative activity solely for personal enjoyment and who is not seeking to derive a living from the activity”.

What the HELL does that have to do with Kenroy Peters , HE apparently is good enough to be a Coach in Australia .
HE was also responsible for helping his Team once again being in the top
Division of its League , by his bowling , and in the process helped
his Club win two Trophies .

Cricket aint only played in England ,When One Door closes , other Doors remain open . The Invisible Man may not be employed in the Region or in
England .

But it seems that his skills & knowledge are not only in demand elsewhere ; he is also highly thought of by Plenty Power Cricket
Officials .

A number of us can post weekly of regional players, playing and coaching in England, SF and Australia.
You seem to be only aware of this, because of Peters.

It is good to see Peters finding employment.
BTW, they are a number of West Indies former players, coaching and mentoring in the Canadian T20 competition, which is live around the globe.
You who support players, should be proud of Sarwan, big Merv and others.

It aint that I am fixated with Peters ,it is about the fact that in the Region he was made akin to being a Leper ; but Persons in Other Countries
were eager to having him Play & Coach
their Teams .

In essence , he was discarded by
those in the governance of West Indies Cricket , while Persons outside the Region were & are of the
opinion that he could help their Teams .

The essential point from my perspective , is the fact that he was eagerly sought by People outside the Region . While those in the Region
chose to ignore him .

THE OPTICS IS EXCEEDINGLY TELLING ,
in essence he is useless to help the
Cricket in the Region . While People
outside the Region were of the opinion that HE could help them .

There is a freaking disconnect somewhere , and it sure as hell aint
the Team that he plays for in Australia , that he helped get into
the First Division in the League his Team belongs .

YOU still refuse to see & acknowledge the point I am making .
Sarwan et al got many opportunities to play for the West Indies . It cannot be said that Peters was given opportunities in the Region .

The point I am making aint complicated you know , it is simply
this , Persons outside the Region
were and are of the opinion that
Peters could help their Team .

In the Region for years Peters was treated as a Cricket Leper . WE are
at the bottom of International Cricket because those in the governance of West Indies Cricket , due to their utter Contempt of our
Former Players prefer to hire People
from outside the Region , pay them fat salaries , while they get tanned in the Region .

This despite the fact that there are Former Great Players living in the Region . Practical Experience is a hell of a lot better theoretical
Experience .

It sure as Hell was not anybody the WICBC/CWI hired that was responsible for Our Team winning two consecutive
World Championships in the shortest version of the game .

Some of us indeed ,conveniently really have very short freaking memories , but I guess that's Life .

POINT 2018-07-02 21:11:47

In reply to BeatDball

Look the freaking fact is that The Windward Islands Cricket Board thought
little of Kenroy Peters , the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth , aka the WICBC/CWI allowed him to play in one Test Match .

Yet despite the above , Peters was hired to play & Coach in England One year . Last year he was welcomed to play for a Club in Australia , and this coming Summer that same Australian Club has engaged him to Play & Coach their Team .

So in spite of being ignored by both the Windward Islands Cricket Board &
West Indies Cricket Board , People
outside the Region eagerly welcomed
him to play & Coach their Teams .

The essential point that I continuously make in this Forum is
the fact that the West Indies Cricket Board has nothing but absolute Contempt for Our Former
Players .

They prefer to hire Foreigners to come in the Region , to be Coaches etc . These Foreigners that they hire have absolutely nothing in common with Our Players .

Now their are in the Region many former Great West Indies Players ,
but the contempt of the WICBC/CWI to
former Great Players , is so deeply ingrained in their Egotistical , Contemptuous brains , THEY prefer to
hire persons who have little in common with the Players in the Region .

WHY IS IT THAT THOSE FORMER GREAT

PLAYERS WHO WERE IN CHARGE OF THE

SHORTEST VERSION OF THE GAME IN THE

REGION CANNOT BE HIRED BY THE

WICBC/CWI ??????????????

The Freaking fact is that it was those Former Great Players , who Harnessed & Honed the Skills of Our
Players to win 2 Consecutive World
Championships in the shortest format
of the game .

Now this is a freaking Fact not Fiction . But it seems that the People in the WICBC/CWI , prefer to
hire People from outside the Region
to Coach Our Players .

SO THEN WHY IS IT THAT IN THE LONGER

VERSIONS OF THE GAME OUR TEAM IN THE

INTERNATIONAL CRICKET ARENA , IS

LANGUISHING AT OR NEAR THE BOTTOM OF

INTERNATIONAL CRICKET ?????
