Lilee surprised me
Sarwan
The only bowler who has a completely legitimate action
In reply to jaip
given the career span of each each player, they all surprised me. I thought it was going to be some part time bowler like Gayle or so.
In reply to googley
The first 4 on the list is surprising. Of course it is also surprising that men who wear size 12 shoes cannot find a spot in a 4 foot wide space to land a part of one shoe.

Interesting. All before video reviews and before ODIs became a big part of the game
I watched Joel Garner bowl MASSIVE no balls at the QPO against New Zealand and ump hardly ever called him. It was clear to see from where we were sitt
Is not like WI needed the help at the time.
The influence of video replay etc now has a major, POSITIVE influence on the game IMO
Also when did the front door rule came in?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
The front foot rule came into effect in the early sixties.
Before ODIs and then later, video replays, umpires simply didnt call no balls. With ODIs, every delivery was at a premium so they were more careful about calling no ballsand this transferred to other forms of cricket.
Also, look at the number of times a batsman is given out and the umpires then decide to check for a noball. And how many times decisions have been overturned as a result.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
If you mean the 'front foot' rule my memory was saying that came in while Sobers and Titmus were playing - probably 1967.
But I did a search and discovered it was 1963.

I would have expected five spinners...can't believe any fast bowler would make that list.
Is there a list of bowlers who bowled at least one no ball in every match they actually bowled?
In reply to JOJO
Simply the the case, no -balls were called , maybe not as often.
Two instances are Mac Morris getting run out off a no ball bowled by Trueman.
Charlie Griffith bowling Kanhai first ball and the umpire calling no ball.

This rule destroyed the career of Keith Boyce as a leg spinner, he was the best in Bim as a 21 y.o , he was called by many umpires for over-stepping, as a result start bowling fast to complete the over.

That incident was 1964 at the MECCA. British Guiana was 13-3 when Griffith clean bowled Kanhai with a no-ball and then Kanhai went on to score the most destructive century ever played against Hall and Griffith. It is indeed a pity that the innings was not memorialized on video. Wes Hall still talks about that innings and f you ever ask him about Kanhai, rest assured he will talk about that innings.
Lately in the Bangladesh series, while the commentators were discussing the WI no-ball issues, one of the commentators referred to an interview with Lillee where he explained how he handled the situation of no-balls at some grounds, so obviously Lillee bowled no-balls.
In reply to dayne
You interpreted that to mean that Lillee bowled no-balls at some grounds?
