guyana should declare now.250 lead
Pestano bowled off stump by D Johnson for 69. Jag 225-4 in 79.1 overs. Tage 64*. Lead 262.
Barnwell in.
Decent WI pace attack, consisting of Delorn Johnson, Josh Thomas and Ray Jordan. Thomas and Jordan are quite pact, and Jordan's action looks quite legitimate now.
Tage is looking the part of a solid opener now, even if he still scores slowly. He's playing more shots and is more at ease in the middle.
232-4 in 82 overs. Tage 67, Barnwell 3, at the drinks break. Lead 267.
Barnwell starting to get into his stride now. Hits Thomas over long off for SIX! Then tickles Johnson to fine leg for 4, then drives him forward of point for r more!
A message comes out to Tage: "Time to get on with it!"
Barnwell attempts to drive Thomas thru mid wicket but skies it to mid on, where Cato drops the relatively easy catch!
253-4 in 87 overs. TC 71, CB 19.
255-4 in 88 overs. TC 72, CB 20.
262-4 in 89 overs. TC 73, CB 26.
Tage unable to pick up the pace when needed. Not good.
263-4 in 90 overs.
Kavem Hodge finally gets to bowl. He looks to be a decent left arm wrist spinner.
266-4 in 91 overs. Tage stuck in one gear for 271 balls for 73 runs!
269-4 in 92 overs. TC 73 (274 balls), CB 33 (41 balls).
In reply to Norm
Are you honestly surprised?
In reply to imusic
No, but am disappointed. Tage hasn't developed much this past year.
270-4 in 94 overs. TC 73, CB 24.
270-4 in 95 overs. Maiden from Hodge to - guess who? No wonder Jaguars would drop Tage when any other opener is available.
The little f**ker is poking, poking, poking - despite being asked to get on with it. Jags would like to declare this evening to get an outright win, but Tage is simply f**king up that.
In reply to Norm
comentata say tage looking to make a century
In reply to shivnotout
Pujara demonstrated the value of solid batting a day or 2 ago, but Tage is simply incapable of doing better. Jags should drop his ass for the rest of the season, to send a message to all - that better is expected.
273-4 in 98 overs. TC 74 (299 balls), CB 36 (54 balls). Lead 310.
Tea.
The bigger idiot is the other batsman who doh want to run his rass out.Don't think I am against the way he is batting, every fcuker in the region must learn to fcuking defend fuss, and hardly any scunt in the region could do that. Why allyuh vex wid Tage,if a few more in the Caribbean could learn that way instead ah flinging dem bat at everything, then we may have some batsmen who may be able to save we irrational rass. Why allyuh fussing,Guyana go still win.You go on Tage bat whole day.

In reply to granite
Sound defense is the "kindergarten" of batting. Poking was ok yesterday, when Jags were losing wickets early, but quick runs were needed after lunch. Tage has shown time and again that he is either unwilling, or incapable, of scoring quickly. Here he is now, reducing the time that Jags have to dismiss Volcanoes.
How could a player who cannot help his team win a match be of any value to that team? Especially when his team is not in danger of losing?
Jags declare!!! Serves Tage right.
310-4 in 108.1 overs. Tage Chanderpaul 84 (334 balls), Chris Barnwell 61 (80 balls).

You will see Mudland will win with over 2 sessions to spare
Theophile pulls a Keon Joseph short ball on his body straight to Pestano at mid on, who takes the catch!
6-1 in 0.4 over.
TYRONE THEOPHILE c CLINTON PESTANO b KEON JOSEPH 6(4
Keon Joseph looks slimmer and fitter than I have ever seen him. Shepherd too. Jaguars rushing to their positions between overs, thanks to Tage eating up all the time uselessly.
Kirk Edwards edges to 2nd slip but it falls just short.
17-1 in 5 overs. Taryck Gabriel 2, Kirk Edwards 8.
In reply to Norm
Isn't there a full day's play tomorrow?
Kirk plays back to a good length ball from Pestano just outside off that jags back and pins him right in front of middle. Gone, lbw!
In reply to Narper
There is a reason why teams like to put in the opposition to bat late in the day, when the opposition is tired and cautious, while the fielding team is fresh and can bowl flat out in cooler conditions.
With 2 wickets down already, the Volcanoes will most likely resign themselves to nothing but defense tomorrow, which makes them more vulnerable on a crumbling wicket. Without having lost a few wickets, a draw would have been more likely. Tage made that draw more likely.
54-2 in 20 overs at the close. Gabriel 33 (55 balls) and Hodge 9 (17 balls). 294 needed to win.
If Volcanoes get there, Tage will take heat for not putting more than 84 runs on the board off those 300+ balls he faced.

Good win by the Jaguars! Get ready for Leewards Hurricanes next!
Windwards severely weakened with Edwards as Cappo. Surely we can do better!
Not even dinner what was it about Tage eating up 300 balls again?
In reply to Kay
Better dont play that shite againts Leewards next weekend. Got away with Windwards who do not have the services of Devon Smith and is led by Captain Croak. Bowling looks toothless too.
