New Zealand vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test
8.3
Lakmal to Jeet Raval, out Caught by Chandimal!! A soft dismissal. Sri Lanka get the breakthrough. A full length ball angling down the leg-side and Raval wanted to flick it away, but only managed a leading edge. The ball lobbed up and settled into the hands of Chandimal at mid-off.

10.1
Lakmal to Latham, out Caught by Kusal Mendis!! Two wickets in two overs for Lakmal. From round the wicket Lakmal bowled it full on the stumps and a shuffling Latham wanted to play across the line - a clip. Gets a fat outside edge and Mendis takes a sharp low catch
Latham c Kusal Mendis b Lakmal 10(30) [4s-1]
NZ 17/2 (10.1 Ovs) CRR: 1.67
14.2
Lakmal to Williamson, out Caught by Dickwella!! Length delivery, little nip outside off and the edge is found. Massive wicket for Sri Lanka. The wicket keeper was never going to drop it. Lakmal has a three-fer. Tireless spell of deliveries outside off and this one straightened after landing to induce the edge. Williamson did not much wrong apart from being caught in the crease a a bit.

Great bowling by Lakmal
18.5
Lakmal to Henry Nicholls, out Bowled!! That is a pearler. WOW! He has gatecrashed a length delivery through bat and pad to rattle the sticks. Henry Nicholls again tried to stride forward but left a little gap which was traversed by that corker of a delivery. NZ in disarray.

Lahiru Kumara to Watling, out Ross Taylor Run Out!! Lahiru Kumara knows that Ross Taylor is out. A run-out appeal sent upstairs. A fullish ball and Watling drove it down the ground, Kumara bends to his right to stop, but could only get his second finger on it. The ball rolls away to hit the stumps at the non-striker's end and Ross Taylor is outside his crease. He was backing up and wasn't quick enough to turn around. An unfortunate end to his knock. Simon Doull on air says that Taylor has been run-out for the fourth time in a Boxing Day contest.
Ross Taylor run out (Lahiru Kumara) 27(46) [4s-4]

Lahiru Kumara to de Grandhomme, out Caught by Chameera!! New Zealand are in deep trouble here. A horror shot from de Grandhomme. Was a short ball wide of off, should have thrashed it through covers, but de Grandhomme decides to fetch it and pull it throgh mid-wicket, gets a big top edge and the ball lobs up in the air. Chameers settles under it around the mid-wicket region

Dilruwan Perera to Southee, out Caught by Gunathilaka!! Gunathilaka has plucked out an absolute stunner. The fielder leapt up and has taken a blinder. Charged out, heaved it away across the line and the man at mid-wicket did the rest
Southee c Gunathilaka b Dilruwan Perera 68(65) [4s-6 6s-3]
NZ 172/7 (47.2 Ovs) CRR: 3.63
48.4
Lakmal to Wagner, out Caught by Kusal Mendis!! A much deserved fifer for Lakmal. Wagner wafts his bat at a widish ball and gets a fat edge for the ball to fly away. The man at second slip though made no mistakes and cups it essily just above his eye line. And that will be tea as well. Sri Lanka are back on top.

Lahiru Kumara to Watling, out Caught by Dilruwan Perera!! Back of a length delivery, Watling looks to punch it, gets it off the outer edge and was taken by the man at gully. Good sharp catch taken by Perera who seems to have done something to his chest. I guess his body took the impact of the shot. Watling went with the hard hands and the ball flew off his willow.

Dilruwan Perera to Jeet Raval, out Caught by Kusal Mendis!! And a wicket against the run of play. That was on the pads, Jeet Raval tried working it off the pads and only managed to inside edge it. The ball popped up off the pads and was taken neatly by the man at FSL. Lanka finally get a wicket.

Chameera to Latham, out Caught by Dickwella!! Angling down leg and has stifled the batsman here. Poor end to a marathon knock. That was slightly short of length and Latham got a faint tickle on that delivery down leg. The keeper appealled vociferously and the umpire also had figured out there was an edge. Latham was gutted as he walked back.
