South Africa vs Pakistan, 1st Test
In reply to Narper
South Africa have great reserves of seam bowlers.
Philander injured. Ngidi injured. No problem. Olivier comes in and wrecked the Pakistan top order.
Amir out. Olivier gets his five fer!
32.5
Olivier to Amir, out Bowled!! Olivier has five. He probably wouldn't have played if either of Philander or Ngidi were fit, and hasn't he grabbed this opportunity with both hands.
Amir b Olivier 1(15)
5-fer for Olivier.
PAK 96/7

Rabada gets his second wicket! Eight down.
I'm not watching. What's your assessment of Olivier? Is he bowling faster than he used to?
Shah goes.Thought it was missing leg personally but DRS showed it was just about clipping leg.

Steyn's action looks diabolical.
His wicket taking ability has seriously eroded and I can't see him taking a youngster's spot.

Retirement beckons?
Markham lbw for 12. One down.
Amla out to Amir for eight. This could get interesting.
Afridi gets Elgar for 22. Three down.
Afridi gets du Plessis for a duck! On a hat trick.

Amir to Theunis de Bruyn, out Caught by Sarfraz!! Amir returns to break the partnership. He was right on target in this over all the way through, probing and probing around that off stump. Back of a length delivery, leaves de Bruyn with the angle and he just has a feel for it, thereby fencing it to the keeper. Sarfraz moves to his right nicely for the catch. Pakistan needed this lift before stumps, they were just starting to feel the heat a bit.
Theunis de Bruyn c Sarfraz b Amir 29(71) [4s-3 6s-1]

Bavuma 38 not out very important for keeping south Africa in the game.
Amla's last scores read as
31,31,27,16,15,0,19,6,8
Will require something special from Bavuma and the tail to try and gain the upper hand here.I thought rain might play a factor in this test but at the rate they are going this thing might be done and dusted tomorrow.
For me it's just about contributing towards the team's success. If you look at my T20 campaign, I bowled similar lengths and lines; it's just about the mindset. I don't think too far ahead and I am very happy if I get an opportunity to play; just take it day by day. I do back my bouncers. I was disappointed in the first two overs as I gave width to the batsmen. If I bowl a bouncer I make sure it's well directed. If you look at subcontinent teams, you do bowl a lot of short deliveries against them. I enjoy bowling bouncers and enjoy the moment.
For me it's just about committing 100 percent. I think the way Dale and KG bowled, it allowed to me to bowl to my strengths and bowl those short balls. With 15 wickets on day 1, the game has moved quickly forward. There were a few balls that were staying low and I think with the heat factor that'll come into play later in the game as well.
Nice test match shaping up

Speaking from personal SEXperience?
Gonna be interesting to see who they drop for the 2nd test as Philander will be match fit by then.
You pretty much have to play Philander at Newlands.

Olivier is too similar to Philander in pace wouldn't you say? Surely they both can't play in the same team. Then again Steyn is a shadow of his former self.
