However, some of us do know the truth.

Sure. Both parties engaged in political terrorism and inciteful violence. With the people invested in politics of segregation, they are easily manipulated.

Taught by the best - an agency of intelligence that is central to such tactics.

Good government for all the people + a population willing to accept equality for all + some oil money can change that fast. Guyana needs to stop recycling these old political skunts that you find on both sides of the current government.

Like who? You are aware they dont even have a million people, and the best and brightest migrate right on graduation?

The cupboard is bare mate

Same scenario being faced by WI cricket. Give the new faces a chance to develop. They cannot come into this world ready-made.

You should go to the top of the class as you have hit the nail on the head. 90% of UG Grads migrate. I started St Stanislaus in 1976 with a class of about 36 other students, today about 6 of them are still resident in Guyana.

I went to the best high school in Guyana (for that time period). Many of my batch mates are doctors, scientists, engineers etc. 90% in foreign lands.

Dude WI cricket have had 2 decades in "a chance to develop". How is that going? They are getting beaten by Bangladesh's team of midgets. When Bangla tours and beats them then the nail will be in the coffin.

The best was Saints as we finished at 2:10 pm, the 2nd best was QC as they closed doors at 3 pm.smile

I chose Saints over QC as my mother was a teacher and finished at 3 pm, the same time as QC which meant she would pick me up from school and I would not get the Chopper bicycle that I craved hence I went to Saints. I never got the bike, instead, I received a hand me down from a relative.

lollol School days are some very nice days.

I went to Burnham's school, at that time I was too young to appreciate the irony.

Anyway, you could have gotten marks to get into QC and still not get in, you needed an invitation. Now its largely a boarding school for the interior folks.

We did not get to ride bicycles, because we lived in the school sad

Not during PC's heyday, they produced students that not only topped Guyana but the entire Caribbean

During, my time there(90s), they were dominant. Soon after PPP won elections the entrance requirements were reduced and over the years reduced even further. Funding cuts, loss of key teachers...gives u the PC of today

Anyway I digress from the PC vs QC battle, I am vastly out numbered lol lol

In reply to Runs The Rabbis in Israel are pushing for intermarriages of the various Jews coming from the diaspora. There is even a segment of Jews + Palestinians marriages! As with GT & TT, not a bad idea as this angst/hostility will not go away. Like my family, even with my aunts, uncles, cousins - sometimes we are neutral in Guyana's politics or hypocritical! When we with the Afros we criticize the PPP; when with the Indo side, we lambaste the PNC. Lol.

big grin razz

BeatDball 2019-01-03 10:59:17

Runs! Maybe, the political elites of TT & GT should look at Switzerland & Singapore. You know have some sort of ethnic based rotational leadership! Let them get behind closed doors & sue sue, 'bai, lewwe have Jagnarine Sohanlaaal Bahahadur be PM/President for two terms; we gwine let a woman of any race/mix, or a mix fella or some other ethnic as vice; then when time comes around again for the next 2 terms, we gwine give the PM/president to Preston Shelton Baadmington & again we let the vice be a woman, or mix fella or some other gt ethnic!' We cannot continue to be at loggerheads...something has to give/work! U think it gwine wuk?!
