Holder, Dowrich and Roach are the only surities against England. The rest should fight for their places.

In reply to Bigzinc
3Ws, S Nurse, Sobers, Hall, Griffith, Hunte, Holford, R Edwards, C Smith, Lashley, Brancker
In reply to Oilah
Nurse will not sit. Jones and Harding will sit unfortunately. But Harding needs to be there. But I DOUBT VERY MUCH THEY WILL SIT NURSE FOR HARDING.
at Kensington...your fastest bowler Harding should play esp against Guyana.
In reply to Bigzinc
bajan 80's team
Powen, sudden, che...
You mean 80 year olds right?
In reply to analyst-kid
Harding should play...raw genuine pace needs to be developed
re Guyana vs Barbados...the only thing that has stood a full strength Barbados team from beating Guyans was SHIV and to a less extent REIFER.....THERE IS NO SHIV to blunt this full strength Bajan attack.
In reply to Oilah
I think Harding would rout this Guyana batting at Kensington....Nurse should sit...Chase and Warrican is enough spin.
In reply to analyst-kid
guyana does not have any batting to talk about. not one test class player
In reply to Bigzinc
Jaguars should lose in two days then?
If this full strength Barbados/CWI side don't beat this weak Jaguars team in two day something wrong...
In reply to anthonyp
Cricket don't play pun paper
In reply to analyst-kid
Harding is still green, he and Jones will sit.
In reply to che

Bro, you still have to show some respect to senior players.
Nurse is returning from injury, once fit he plays.
He is more suited for the shorter format, but this match and inclusion in the tour match, will give him some match practice, for the ODI and T20 teams.
In reply to openning
No way Harding should sit. Enough of the green talk. Development of fast bowlers should be Barbados focus not getting Nurse playing time.
In reply to seaegg99
If you and Oilah was commenting on the selection of Nurse, I would agree with you.
Once selected, he should play.
BTW, I am not a fan of Nurse.

Two wrongs don't mek a right. If your focus is giving Nurse playing time you are missing the bigger picture. A young REAL fast bowler sitting to play 3 ordinary spinners makes no sense. nurse will most likely play in the ODIs
I am amazed that there seems to be a young tearaway fast bowler and we are contemplating having him sit so that a journeyman off spinner plays??? Surely you jest

In reply to Oilah
Guyanese batsmen can play spin bowling in their sleep but once the ball is coming up to their throats then some of them have yellow bellies!!!!!!
In reply to Dukes
Maybe he thought Freddo and Kalli was named in the team!!
In reply to tci/openning
Springer and Harding should be in the Pride XI..
Those two got what it takes to make the WI team.. Barbados just wasting their talents
Chase and Kraigg are better off spinners than Nurse.. So what's the point in playing him? Especially ahead of a 90+mph fast bowler!
where is kyle corbin? chaim holder?
In reply to Dukes
The problem is the selection of a senior player in this squad.
It would had been better to let Nurse know, the format is for test selection, not ODI or T20.
Communication is essential, when dealing with people.
Once selected he should play.
Bajans have completely destroyed the U19 pacer {Holder} the that help us win the U19 world cup!
In reply to camos
Bajans selectors have no foresight at all. Holder, Springer and Harding should be preparing to reach higher levels not sitting at home doing what? If they are not going to make Bim's team then they should have been allowed to play elsewhere to gain the experience. Sad team management. Yet we see everytime the WI play the lack of experience in the players because of so few games we play regionally. It is so stark the lack of game practice we show each year is stupid. Carty, Hetty, Al Jo and Paul to name a few are already making a mark and Springer and Holder two of the top performers on the World U-19 stage sit at home. Dumbness by Barbados administrators and CWI.
In reply to seaegg99
What about Drakes who may be outplaying Holder
Nurse needs to be persisted with ....
In reply to Kay
He is better suited for the shorter format, since he will not make any test team.
I would have preferred seeing Harding Holder Springer with Cummins instead of Roach Holder Nurse with Cummins.
In reply to analyst-kid
With a test series only a few weeks away, it is good for Roach and Holder to get some work in, prior to the series.
These Youngsters will have the remainder of the tournament to show their worth.
In reply to camos
Nurse took more wickets than the following five bowlers put together.
Kemar Roach
Miguel Cummins
Jason Holder
Jomel Warrican
Roston Chase
In reply to mikesiva
Every time we question Nurse's selection he produce.
