SUDDENLY SOME PEOPLE JUST FIND
RELIGION !!!!
IT AINT ABOUT THOSE IN THE WICBC ALONE
IT IS ALSO ABOUT GOVERNMENTS IN THE
REGION WHO FOSTER & ENCOURAGE THE
B.S THAT THE WORST INTERNATIONAL
CRICKET BOARD IN THE COMMONWEALTH

Does not matter
When a bajan is appointed none of dem have a word to say
In reply to Narper
Andrew Mason is the biggest critic of Holder, Kraigg and Brooks.
He has been advocating for your hommie for sometime.
With four selectors, this is not a Bajan problem
There is a correlation with the number of Bajan selected on PCL teams and the CWI/WICB.
The Leewards is the only team, not having a Cajan.
But as a strong Bajan cricket supporter, every team should select one.
This reminds me of the time Dave and Tricky Dick picked the World Cup squad and gave it to the selectors ...

In all fairness, he's probably right. I think the whole desperation to get a coach in time for the England series, and the world cup, led to them to simply ask someone who was in the region, and had a permit to work here, and Of course, had some coaching credentials. Getting another foreigner could be a long process to sort out all documentation, visas, etc.
Why they wouldn't go with a local coach, is beyond me, though.
Also, Pybus as coach seems a stopgap arrangement, since his contract runs only until the end of the world cup.
This, I'm afraid, isn't a good decision. More so, considering Pybus has been a part of the management, and has not really been very popular with some of the players, for various reasons. Will be interesting to see how this pans out.
I'd still say, Haynes, or drakes, or any qualified West Indian would have been a better choice.

WOW. Enoch has been born again. What a thing.

In reply to openning… which one playing for Yaad?
In reply to brians_da_best we DO NOT NEED A COACH at this level. We need a tactician, someone to assist the captain with strategies to beat the opponent.
Well better late than never from Enoch. Hopefully this will lead to a voting out of Cameron and not just the continued rubber stamping of his Leadership.
In reply to voiceofreason
Cameron will promise more games in Enoch region and
he will whimper and accept.

The usual nonsense from WICB directors (the foolishness is not limited to the president).
The article actually states that he Board eventually approved the appointment (therefore Lewis, as a board member, approvedwhether or not he agreed).
But beyond that, if you have an issue with the way the president acted, the logical first step is to move to sanction him for his actions. Although Cameron is criticized for his actions and Lewis calls for the decison to be rescinded, nowhere does it state that he has called for the president to be sanctioned.

Williams was drafted by Jamaica
Reifer by Guyana
Hope by T&T
Edwards and Mayers by the Leewards
Williams was in the X111 for the first two games.

More than likely that is only Temporarily . I have not deviated from
my opinion , which is that ALL the
current members of the WICBC & the
Regional Cricket Boards MUST RESIGN .
They have been and are Architects of
the Decline of Cricket in the Region , and have been ably Supported by most
of the Persons in the Region who claim
to be Sports Journalists , but in
actuality are not only Frauds ,but
staunch Supporters of the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth .
It is this unholy alliance that is
at the Heart of most of the Problems
regarding Cricket in the Region and
the decline of the competitiveness of Our Players in the International
Cricket Arena .
It is this alliance that has empowered those in the WICBC for
many years to be dictatorial , and
conclude that the Players are their
Serfs , and must never have any input regarding Cricket in the Region .
What is worse is that this asinine
behaviour also exists in the Regional Boards . This is precisely
why in my opinion , there must be a
Total & Complete restructuring of
the WICBC & the Regional Cricket Boards .
IF THIS IS NOT DONE WE WILL FOREVER
BE SPINNING A FREAKING TOP IN MUD .
IN THE MEDIA WE NEED PERSONS WITH
THE TESTICULAR FORTITUDE TO BE
CRITICAL OF ALL THOSE IN THE
GOVERNANCE OF CRICKET IN THE REGION.
WE are where WE are due to the fact
that there are no REAL Sports Journalists in the Region . What WE
have is a collection of people who
pay Homage to those in the Governance of Cricket in the Region , and have aptly demonstrated that
they are devoid of Honesty & Integrity .
MAKE ABSOLUTELY NO MISTAKE THESE ARE
THE TWIN DEMONS THAT HAVE BESET WEST
INDIES CRICKET , AND THEY MUST BE
EXCISED ; IF WE WANT CRICKET IN THE
REGION & IN THE INTERNATIONAL
CRICKET ARENA TO IMPROVE . I AM VERY
CONFIDENT THAT MY ASSESSMENT IS
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT .
In reply to Drapsey
No it was the ODI WC in 2015
If it's not on the field, West Indies cricket is continuing to make many of us who are proud, embarrassed to identify ourselves from the Region.
This time around, an exalted position as Cricket Director, at least in other countries that matter, is being made into a sick joke, with this new development.
Now we know that Jimmy Adams' job is merely to recommend not to appoint, the latter done by never-played cretins, led by the ringleader, who calls himself, a President and others who call themselves Board directors.
Jimmy you've faced and succeeded against a few fearsome fastbowlers, in your playing days, now where has your 'balls' disappeared to, to allow this insult on you???
