Yes also saw where Chambers has transferred to UM. That's Bloomfield, Allen and Chambers gone from AU after 2 years. Wilson I understand was not able to satisfy the Florida State academic requirements.

Imagine Bann finally winning a race after these years. They will get him in shape as he looks a little heavy.

Natalliah is the real deal. She should dominate the collegiate ranks this year.

Ewers should do the same on the men's. with Chambers on his heels.

Matherson with the big boys now and it may take a year or two to inch closer, but he has the necessary tools around him and pray he stays healthy.

Hope the same for Wilson, as he is very talented. Will stay at the CC ranks for a year or so and then transfer.
Makes you wonder why Taylor didn't leave the kids and move on.

well he has nothing to prove at champs. My only thought (pure speculation and guessing) is that he is trying to get some CXCs, or do the SATs. I have no clue about his academics so that is purely a guess on my part.

Only thing Taylor could really do at champs is take Bloomfield's 400M record.

Event 23 Boys 14-15 400 Meter Dash class 2
MEET: 50.80 R Kevon Stone 2016 Age Team
Name Finals Finals

#1990 Joseph, Michael 1 51.16

#1483 Williams, Tyrese 2 51.33

#7975 Heywood, Devonté 3 51.93

#1407 Hinds, Tafar-Hi 4 52.03

#1873 Hamm, Tahj 5 52.11

#2449 Ashman, Sherwayne 6 52.37

#7973 Gardner, Tajay 7 52.51

I mentioned above that Tyrese Williams was one of three class 3 boys in the 400m to go sub 50 at Champs 2018 and I am very keen to see how they progress. Williams is now in class 2 and running well. Heywood, Hamm and Gardner whose times were slower than his are second year class 2 and well known as good 400m runners.

McKenley meet this weekend.??

What kind of representation will KC have??

Last year it was a tit for tat with Gibson.

Is Kerr still a class 3 athlete??

McKinley/Wint this on Sat. See schedule of meets below:

Upcoming Meets

We will have to wait and see if KC will attend.

Kerr is now in class 2 with Bouwahgjie and Stennett. The class 3 youth to watch out for is Chris Seaton. He was on the 4x100m class 3 relay team last year. He was also a 1.82m high jumper and a 6.03 long jumper last year. Came 3rd in the high jump at Champs. I believe he ran some class 4 races last year. That may also be why he only did one individual event at Champs.

Our class 2 looks unbeatable. Such talent. I thought Kerr was still class 3.
However,I will look out for the athlete you mentioned.
Are we strong in class 3??

I believe we are. Just like Stennett, Kerr and Seaton who did well in their first year in class 3 before coming back for a final year, there is a youth named Dushaun Grant who is really class 4 but looks like he may be our best 400m rep in class 3 this year. He had the fastest class 3 time 53.51, at Kirkvine on Saturday.

Keep it up. I like how Chris Taylor quietly, very quietly, reminded the interviewer that he (Taylor) was the national 400m champion.

Hope you can show us some races. Is it a permission issue?

Taylor.Humble youth. Wish him the best this year.

KC did well this weekend. Seeing some talented athletes along the road to Champs.

No mistaking our hurdlers this year. Should close the gap.

Field athletes as well.

Am I to understand we did not send a contingent to Red Hills?

C'Bar class 1 is very strong and deep. Taylor, Stevens and Russell with Rusean Young to replace Wilson as sprinters. Class 2 and 3 not so strong.

Farquharson and Vensen are the backbone of their class 1 long distance squad and could win 3 - 4 races between them.

Their class 1 field squad is pretty solid all around too. Apart from Russell they have pretty good hurdlers but no certainty like Russell.

KC sent a very strong class 3 squad to McKinley Wint. The boys represented well in the 1500m and 400m.

The KC squad at GC Foster showed there is good promise in the hurdling and that class 2 and 3 have depth even without showcasing the sprinters. No Shantamoi as yet. Hope he is ok.

This could be a turning point.

Inspired by his teammate's run, Plummer came out in a no-nonsense mood in the Class One event, turning back last year's Boys' Champs winner Rovane Williams of Rhodes Hall. He won in an impressive 52.56 seconds to smash the 2016 meet record of 53.53. Williams clocked 54.20 while Excelsior High's Devontie Archer ended third overall in 54.56.

Come in Joe. What is the name of the Jago coach who went to KC last September? He is known as a good hurdles man and I believe he has brought a lot the the KC programme.
