If I was Barbados captain...

Larr Pullo 2019-01-05 13:11:10

I'd bring back Roach or Cummings and tell them to break Permauls finger(s). I not allowing any number 11 to stand up and just sun my team...

shoite? I don't know what kinda cricket alyuh paying there in Bim these days, but after a team gone over 500 and they not declaring and the number 11, and a spin bowler standing around stroking it around, it's time for them to lose a bowler to a broken digit.

Bim getting just what they deserve.

Some stats for you all

Last Bajan fast bowler took wickets at Kensington..Harding 5/66 vs Jamaica

Last time Barbados vs Guyana at Kensington...leading fast bowler Chemar Holder 5/57 and 3/72 including Shiv bowled for 0

analyst-kid 2019-01-05 14:37:06

Where are the analysts in WI Cricket?

Flashback 1988 an aging Garner with Marshall plundered for 176 by Richie Richardson...first century scored against them together in regional cricket while a young Ambrose and Benjamin rout Barbados

The Moral of the Story: Kensington is always suited for young hungry fast bowlers not tired bowlers over 30!

As a youngster , I saw Tony King wk batsman {19}batting at3, and Keith Boyce the leg-spinner{19} crack the bim team with Sir Everton, Hunte, Sobers, hall, Griffith, Lashley and Nurse.
King top scored in that game.
I seen what youth can do

Harrison College and lodge were in our first division, allowing youngsters to play against the best players in the BCA, that has change sometime ago.
What has make it worst is having an Elite and 1st Division, having combine schools in each division, with Combermere and Foundation part of the 1st Division.

One thing you cannot accuse bajans of is being stupid

Guyana have oil now. Barbados economy in de toilet. IMF & Sandals own dem lock, stock and barrel. Dey offering courses in Bajan night school now about “proper pronunciation” of words....waaaalll.....chorch.....bhai etc.

When they flee to Guyana under the guise of “vacation”, You think dem doing anything that could see them end up firmly ensconced on the new blue and yellow bench they have at Timheri? cool

It is the non rooted Guyanese that has increase Bim's population.
I asked one in Barbuda, a few years ago, why the hell did he settle in the wilderness.

The guy is right yuh know...I heard this oldtimer saying that in his day, no tail bat three overs when he was around. He said he would tell the captain to give him the ball to stop this foolishness, knock him down if possible.

I asked him if he was fuh real, and he said "damn yes. I knock down a couple of bowlers in my days, who tried to play they are batsmen and posing with a stupid shot to add insult to injury." lol lol

There used to be a fast bowlers “code” back in the day.where it was acknowledged that fast bowers would not bowl bouncers etc at each other

That went bye bye with Thomson and Lillee....especially 75/76 series

I heard of Charles Griffith bowling to Proverbs a Wanderers batsman, Charlie bowled him a bouncer and Proverbs came down the wicket, waving his bat, the next ball Proverbs was sitting on his diarrhea, and retire from batting.

Age is only a number, you should know, my mom died at 102 years, and was witty.
Wheeling her to my car after her 100th birthday, she told me, it is a good thing she was not pregnant

I am too stiff to be like her. lol
