Is Jamaica set to lose Tallawahs francise?

Yamfoot 2019-01-07 03:05:51

This article is suggesting just that.

https://www.sportsmax.tv/index.php/cricket/cricket-regional/item/27193-jamaica-set-to-lose-tallawahs-franchise-ahead-of-2019-cpl

The thing though is, if a country has debt and hospitals in need of supplies, what is the justification for giving up money for 5 games of cricket?

And some of these CPL owners are dodgy crooks, so the Jamaican govt needs to think twice before throwing taxpayers money at organisations who may be criminals. They've come under serious criticism for the Andrew Wheatley affair, so they don't want another one.

Remember Vijay Mallya and the Tridents?

Being extradited from the UK to India

Leading Barbados Tridents batsman Dwayne Smith says he and other team members are yet to be paid all monies owed from this year's Caribbean Premier League (CPL) campaign, and believes the situation could hurt the image of the popular tournament.

More here

The CPL first needs to prove that their owners are trustworthy and not a bunch of crooks....

If people feel so possessive about a MB (being Caribbean blah blah), shouldn't people feel more possessive about the franchises of the Prestigious CPL?
